Accomplishment: Band that just played 2000+ concert discussing accepting FTC
-
I was talking with the lead singer from Stone Soul Foundation about Feathercoin for the past few months. SSF just played a show in New York with over 2000+ and are strong opponents of digital freedom. Besides constant touring, they even managed to appear on this tv show episode:

They keep busy. Anyway, over the upcoming weeks, I’ll be working with Sean and the rest of the band on ways Feathercoin could be used to assist the band in merchandise sales. Obviously there’s a lot to talk about between all their band members, manager etc… but I see a number of opportunities that could easily benefit us all. Here’s a few examples:
- Band has QR codes on flyers to pay in Feathercoin for merchandise
- When they do interviews/articles, mention coins like Feathercoin are the next step for artists
- Merchandise in our market
This could be a great testbed for future artists accepting Feathercoin. Anyway, working as always to get our coin out there as much as possible. I’d recommend you talk with local artists/musicians and have the same conversations. This only works by picking up that phone, going to that concert… shaking that hand and convincing people that we stand behind our coin.
More to come…
John

While I’m pretty furious with the bs I’m dealing with concerning UNOCS… especially since the Bridge hasn’t even launched yet… I still fight every day for Feather. If this community feels my time is better spent somewhere else, that’s fine… I’ll simply push for another coin. Just laying it out… I’m pretty fed up at the moment.
We’ll see how this pans out, just shooting straight. We’re entering an interesting time moving to more of a non crypto audience. The first coins to figure this out will obviously have the most push behind them.

Go get three fingers of a good scotch and call it a day. No sense being angry over comments by a few of us. Take a break for the evening. :)

Your/our energy is better invested in walking forward than turning around.
Our community becomes bigger every day, impossible to satisfy them all.Maybe its time to look for a member/person who is responsible for this only?
To clear out concerns and so on …Criticism Manager …

To stay on topic, great NEWS - opens many new opportunities for us, great work my friendbtw, i would like to listen to one/more of theyr songs!

People can do as they please concerning bands. For me personally, this has been an interesting experiment with a band I’ve known for quite some time. There’s so much more than just ‘accepting a coin’ from a band’s perspective. There’s a big difference between digital content vs physical merchandise with upfront costs.
We’ve talked about FTC as an investment tool, as an easy way to convert part of it to BTC and now looking into existing prepaid debit card options through FTC. I’m not trying to control how a band could utilize the coin. Right now, just experimenting with different approaches.
Feel free to do your own thing, this is just what I’m doing in my spare time.

Its actually a pretty interessting concept.
Especially for new starting artist and so on who do not have the infrastructure as larger ones with companies backing them up regarding handling payments, merchandise sales++Much easier for an artist to get paid in digital currency.
This should be a focus point in my opinion. The feathercoin Client should be updated to two versions, one for private and one for commercial usage.
the commercial version could have a much better system as to registrating incoming payment and so on. -

Have I missed something? What comments are going on regarding UNOCS?
You haven’t missed anything.
The whole idea was to get teams working together. Bushstar is working to implement the Phenix patch while Phenix wraps up the Exchange and Bridge. That was the idea of UNOCS from inception, teams working together to provider greater resources.
If you’re referring to the UNOCS Bridge… yes, I want that bad boy too! As soon as it’s up and stable, I’ll be smiling and dialing to as many merchants as possible to accept our coins. This is Phenix’s project, when it’s finished, we’ll have access to it.
Anyway, I’ll pop back around here when I have a major update from the band experiment.
