4. Forgetting username/pw

If you forget your password, you’re required to enter both the username and the email address. What if someone doesn’t remember their userid? Will we have another recovery method? Manual maybe?

5. Hot Items - Clickable Graphic

On the hot items, I have to click the little link under the picture. I recommend being able to click the pics directly as well. As Ebay guy, that’s my natural reaction.

6. Colors

A. On the main page, I’d replace the blue (categories, settings on the right, home/sell item on top) with bold black. The color looks washed-out to me… I feel it needs to pop.

B. Not a fan of the bright yellow with that color scheme. For example, the outbid yellow (to me) looks far too loud. The yellow around password (edit your settings) looks out of place color wise.

C. Buynow 2,000,000.00 FTC 1,000,000.00 FTC -> I’d make the buy now larger – there’s something about that red and blue I’m not a fan of… I can’t place it

No. I have not approached anyone for custom graphics yet.

All the feedback is golden by the way. Please keep it coming. As I work through items I will post back in. I’m still stuck on lots of small items everywhere.

How do I get to the outbid notice. I have not got to the personal settings yet. I have my web dev on acting as consultant :)

Sorry it has taken a while to respond… been a crazy day at work. I found this on the main page where it lists the hot items. If you click on the FTC after the price, you get the converter in a pop-up.

Nah seriously the guy who did the forum styling did a great job and tbh I would just keep colours inline with the forum theme, maybe try #f4f0f4 or #cccccc behind the images?

Done. That was a couple of hours spent on the updating ckeditor the WYSIWYG in WeBid. It has been updated to the latest version 3.x release and now seems happy in IE. I have simplified the toolbars in the editor.

Can you please check it in IE10?

I will check the password bug you reported as that is a major bug.

@UKMark: Can you email me to code for your donation button page to [email protected]. I will put it on the site and structure it in the same was as the site and give you FTP access to it. I would to see what other buttons can be added to this for merchants to use.

Yes, but is there much point adding this yet? Or much point making it available to users yet? Tbh I can add so much more to this (and I want too), I could add every button available to it, I would like to perfect the .js further too, to urlencode and error check user input further, but I have shelved this for the time being to concentrate on actually getting a protocol in place (or for you too :) ), be it BIP0021 or whatever you feel we should use…I have big ideas of adding further to whatever the chosen protocol also, we could add a merchant reference, even an address field < for delivery/invoice purposes < this could be added on-the-fly at point of sale, I really believe this could be a >one click< crypto feature eventually, but I realise we are a long way from that as of know.

But yeah I will email what stands as of now to you later on and then if you put it in an accessible location I can work on it as and when! 8)

I was thinking that you could work on it directly on this site but not open it up yet. It will form part of a set of tools that we will bundle together. We could do more with the icons if we had BIP0021, I’m sure that is what you are thinking.

1. Once you login to the site you will not need to enter the password again to create an auction or publish feedback. Do you need to enter a password for these events on ebay?

2. I have now gone for a lighter yellow. It seems better to me but feel free to suggest a colour :)

@Bushstar when you log into eBay or Amazon you don’t need to log in again unless you are changing some card details or address maybe? Not too sure exactly ;)
