Feathercoin Introduction/Invitation for Non-crypto Merchants
-
Hey guys, hopefully you don’t already have something like this so this actually has some use, but I had some spare time tonight and with the merchant services in the works, I figured I’d write an introduction and invitation for merchants to use Feathercoins as their first crypto to accept payments with. It gives a brief explanation, some advantages, and some whys into why they should accept cryptos, particularly Feathercoin.
Feel free to pick at it as you will, since I’m sure some of you can probably expand on it/improve it in some ways.

Hi (name or company),I’m contacting you today to give you an opportunity to increase your client base, as well as a chance to help promote a cryptocurrency called Feathercoin. Before merely brushing this message off as junk or spam, please give me a chance to explain what Feathercoin is and how it can help your business.
In a nutshell, a cryptocurrency is money that resides in and is transferred by a communal network of computers. Transaction and wallet information are encrypted for security, and is shared among the entire network. Because of this spread of information, no single source holds transaction data, and this acts as protection from malicious hackers since they would need to infiltrate an entire worldwide network to do anything. In case you’re curious, a wallet is a program you download that holds, receives, and sends your Feathercoins, but more on that later.
So how would this benefit you?
Cryptocurrency is a fairly new concept, only a few years old. However, it has been massively adopted, particularly by those within the tech world and friends and acquaintances they introduced to it. In addition to this, those who do support and own cryptocurrencies, or cryptos for short, would very much like places to spend it. Don’t worry though, there are several online exchanges that can be used to exchange Feathercoin and other cryptos for USD, EUR, and even GBP. Those wanting to spend their cryptos are so enthusiastic to spend their coins that most wouldn’t even mind paying a price slightly over its dollar equivalent for your products to make up for whatever inconvenience going through an exchange might cause. Anyways, those that do want to spend cryptos are more likely to spend on things they usually wouldn’t buy with cash, thus increasing your sales.
Cryptos in general are becoming more recognized and publicized everyday, so if you don’t accept them now, you might end up doing so in the future; why not take the initiative? Besides, the Feathercoin user base has a very supportive and active community that is constantly developing, promoting, and using the coin and its services. It’s been said that they have one the most welcoming and beginner-friendly communities in the cryptocurrency world, so you will definitely not regret choosing to use it as your first crypto to accept payments. Below are some other benefits of using Feathercoins, and cryptos in general.
-
decentralized; no banks or authorities to hold your money or payments
-
virtually no fee to send both locally and internationally
-
fixed total amount of coins so unlike paper money, cannot be printed endlessly
-
because of the above, the currency is deflationary which means the value in cash may go up the
longer you keep it
- it is completely LEGAL to use

[/quote]Also, as you read towards the end, I referred them to a link. I was thinking we could create a page for merchants that would have all the info they need to get started. This includes some expansion on what Feathercoin is, how to create their wallet and a brief tutorial on getting around it, how to use the merchant services tool, a list of exchanges and a walkthrough in using it, some links to forum threads that would be helpful to them/is for merchants, and a list of users they can contact for assistance and questions.
Hope this was helpful!

Sounds good! Glad to know that contributed in some way.
And sure, I don’t think I’m in your team mailing list, but add me and I’ll improvise what I have to add anything else that I’m missing. Justabit told me having a variety of letters going out rather than just one is better, so I’ll be glad to work on the one I wrote.
