I like the wireframe #3. Everything is easy to get to and you don’t have to do a lot of scrolling. Whatever the website redesign is, you want to make it accessible as possibly and fast as possible to load for people going to it. Also want to make sure that it is Mobile friendly.

Installed the 13.12 drivers with SDK 2.9. Couldn’t even start mining. CGMiner starts up then it just shows a blinking curser at the top.I’m trying to install 13.11 9.4 beta now and SDK 2.7. Read somewhere that it helps the Sapphire r9 290 BF4 edition cards. Thought these would be better than the XFX 7970…thinking otherwise.
FYI: Reformatted my computer. Running Win7 64bit w/8GB Ram. May post something in a couple hours titled “HELP!!!”
Use --no-adl. That will get cgminer going. ADL/cgminer is broken on later SDKs.

RE: Keep XFX Cards or Buy new cards?
Got the R9 290s installed today, but can’t get the mining working through CGMiner. Probably having some software issues with the drivers from the XFX 7970 cards. I thought I uninstalled everything but what I’m probably going to do is Format the HD and start from scratch, that way i’ll know the cards won’t have anything old as far as drivers messing them up.
If anyone has a better suggestion please let me know.

Keep XFX Cards or Buy new cards?
I’ve got about a month to make a decision on whether to upgrade and replace my 3 - XFX 7970 cards with 3 - R9 290’s. Not sure what brand I would buy with the R9 290s, but I hear they can do about 900khs without too high of temps. Reason why is because Newegg will allow me to return the cards for a refund without restocking fee. Something about their Iron Egg Price Guarantee.
My 3 XFX cards are getting in between 1800-2000 in the d2 Feathercoin Mining Pool.
Just wanted to get y’alls thoughts. Currently been mining for 6 days straight. Absolutely loving it!

soo getting 600khash from em
should be 750 but then again its xfx(hate em, and think theres a reason they are still in stock) fans on all my xfx 7970 died after 1-2months. and max i could pull was 600khash each.gotta say im amazed that they dont overheat there. whats your card temp?
Pretty much. I’ve got the top pushing a little over 700, middle around 650, and the lower a little bit less. Probably will put a box fan to get a little more air but the wife wouldn’t let me steal it out of our room last night. It dropped temps 5 Celsius each card when I tried it.

With my XFX this did the trick to get well over 700kh/s:1750 memclock
1050 coreclockintensity 13
thread-concurrency 8192
gpu-threads 2do note i’m watercooled so heat is not an issue.
Did you set the memclock and coreclock in cgminer or something else?

RE: Prospective Build
Just got an Auto-notification 30 minutes ago for a R9 280X. Just checked and it’s already out of stock. Crazy!

RE: Prospective Build
$499.99 I would have purchased something different but this is the only thing that was in stock that would have high rates. I did read some of the reviews and hopefully they can be good for me.

Greetings thectspot. I have a question and a couple of thoughts for you. Are you planning on using this for anything other than mining? If not, you could definitely go with a cheaper processor, as it won’t effect performance. Like this one: Intel Celeron G1610 2.60GHz LGA 1155 Processor BX80637G1610. Also, I would definitely go with a higher quality psu. The one you listed isn’t going to be able to run those 3 cards together.
It is going to sit in a room and mine 24/7. That same model makes a 1200Watt so I’ll go with that one and with a lower-end processor. Thank you for the input.

Give me your thoughts, plan is to mine FTC only. Thanks!

The Asian Caucasian is finally here
I put the Asian part of my brain cells to work a little while ago and I am planning on building a mining rig very soon. I’ll post another thread with the specs to see if they are good or not. I’m very Green to mining at this point but hope to make some $$$ as everyone here is to do the same.
