They have no prior experience in ASIC and what? They developed LiteCoin and Bitcoin ASIC that’s far ahead of others? No way, its a scam.

I’m with ya. I feel pretty safe with my Alpha T order still. But, every company at one point is brand new. But i’m thinking there’s got to be one bad apple in this new script asic bunch.

I’m also assuming the power consumption for 1x 280x is lower than that of 2x 270.

For a someones first entry level rig though, if you can only afford little but still want something you can play around with, the 270 is all round excellent card.

I’m not sure if it’s voltage locked though, I have tried playing around with that yet. I think I read somewhere that Gigabytes R9 range, are all volt locked.

You can get around any voltage issue by flashing the Asus firmware for that range of cards, the Asus cards come with voltage unlocked.

The press is spinning it as a bitcoin problem. When a bank closes or stock firm, where people lose millions, do they blame the us dollar? Its annoying to see the stupidity spread and believed.

I’ve watching the scrypt asics from alpha and others been in development for a month or two now. I think it’s safe to say that halfway through next year we will see them starting to get released. Then about that time, we will see new algo’s come out. Once a bunch of asics for an algorithm come out, the next wave of coins on new algo’s will probably pop up.

Will probably see 70% of the scrypt coins die in the wake of which coins get the most amount of asic support.

The hobby miner will simply move on to the new algo coins that the asics can’t mine. With that said, I’m not really sure what will happen to Feathercoin.

These are all just guess’s based on a pretty major assumption (that these scrypt asics will spread far and wide). Also assuming that there’s newer and better algorithms for crypto’s that can be developed.

So if this all turns out to be true. Would we and or could we change feathercoins algorithm without screwing up the whole coin?

Sorry, i’ve cut my drinking down and thus my guitar playing here recently. As I said in another post, I’ve had extreme issues with a loose partner, who royally d’d me over. I think its time I keep to my word and get something together.

I think for the first tune, it will be more of a lil diddy. A little like 1 to 2 minute song, like you’d find in between Beatles hits.

A finance guy could come in very handy so keep an eye out for projects etc. :-)
