I bounced to coinotron and its worked out well.

RE: Hash rate fluctuation on pool websites
That’s kind of what I was thinking, but didn’t want to assume. The pool also shows my shares a second, is there anyway to increase that? It seems like the more KH/s I have the higher that number is and vs/vrs. Also, since the pool shows what I’ve submitted, I take it different pools have better luck with shares?

Hash rate fluctuation on pool websites
Why does my hash rate fluctuate on the pool website but stay relatively consistent on my miners? Also, I tried mining in a different pool as a experiment and my has rate was more consistent then on pool A. Could it be the second website not “updating” as fast as the first?

Feathercoin WIKI
I think there needs to be a WIKI entry for Feathercoin to:
A-Promote and get the coin out there
B-Get for info so people feel its a very safe and legitimate coinI told a friend about Feather coin and he was not impressed that Wikipedia didn’t have it listed like many of the other crypto currency out there.

RE: Cooling that computer - literally ice packs
I am totally serious. I have put frozen packs of edamame, berries, even straight ice packs around my computer. As it melts, I rub the water into the hot plastic. But I put the ice packs between the computer and the cooling pad (a big - very big -white slanted logitech.) So most of the moisture drips down and away.Desk fan might work…
Could I really put it in the fridge, and would liquid nitrogen work? Assuming I had appropriate material between the LN and the computer. And this is an utterly stupid question, but are you talking about the compressor on the fridge would burn out?
Sure you can, but that much heat will eventually burn out the compressors in the fridge. Look into overclocking with liquid nitrogen and you will see how they do it. It’s basicly just a large hollow HS that they pour it into.

RE: Digdig's intro, with XFX mining info
It’s usually done in cgminer although you can use MSI’s afterburner to overclock the cards a well.

RE: Does anyone know how to mine Feathercoin?
Yes, but why do you ask? ;D

RE: Anyone try this card for scrypt?
No idea here either, since PCIe is a serial bus type architecture. I don’t know if that technically creates another bus and then just interfaces with the master controller? I would guess yes if I was guessing and no if I was betting. I bet latency would be an issue, which mining does not necessarily rely on, so ya…

Welcome from another Colorado miner. 8)

RE: I am new member and a fellow Feathercoin miner 19000 khash from Istanbul Turkey
Wow is an understatement. You probably put some hosting companies out there to shame with that computing power! How do you run in the summer time? Welcome BTW!!!

RE: Cooling that computer - literally ice packs
Water would be my first red flag. Better just to put the PC in a fridge then to put ice or frozen objects on your PC. I’ve see PC’s in wine coolers but eventually you burn out the compressors on them. Better to look into a more efficient air cooler or water cooling (with pc water cooling parts ;D) Or if you’re still into doing crazy things look into nitrogen cooling. Nothing says overclocking then a bottle of liquid nitrogen!

Maybe low quality soldering?
You can test with cheap multimeter if every pin is connected to opposite side.
Did that, every pin works end to end. Just strange! I guess I’m the only one whos had issues? I hope to get the powered cables in soon.

If you have a good quality PSU the only thing surges spikes and dirty power can do is burn your PSU but cards should be fine.
I agree but have seen some crazy stuff when a PSU is working towards its max limits. I also like to have cleaner power since the higher end UPS units have filters, not that my power is “dirty” by any means but the less stress I put on the PSU, the better since its the heart of the system. To each their own in the end.

RE: [Solved] Wallet question - how does the wallet work?
hacker obviously needs access to your pc to send the coins to his/her address(hence never download something that you believe/looks suspicious). If you wanna learn more about cryptocurrency just search bitcoins on youtube ,there are quite a few good interactive lessons there 8)
Ya, dumb question, it was obvious I was not thinking clearly (beer) when I phrased it. I guess was I was trying to get at was can a hacker get an ID by other means than getting on your PC. Like monitoring your in/out (like packet sniffing on wifi but on the net) Just trying to learn how secure it all is. Where do I find this private key in my wallet? Its not the send to address is it?

RE: XFX R9280x anyone running? What kind of rates?
Try engine 1050 mem 1750 thread concurrency 8192 gpu-threads 2. HAve a 7970 but maybe it works for you.
What’s your work size, thread concurrency, and so on?

RE: Riser Cards
Thats all great but not my issue and I do have powered ones coming in a week or so. My issue is I get NOTHING out of the GPUs, board does not see and they don’t output video. With just one GPU connected via riser there is still nothing. I was wondering if anyone had an issue like that where the cards would not work on the riser.

Riser Cards
Has anyone had problems with riser cables? I got 5 of these http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA0U00YV6403 Cards power up but no video and motherboard does not see them, on board kicks in. I can plug directly in and no problem.
