Ah, previous sgminers worked on nvidia, i get 765 kh/s on my titan x atm, so no worries about that, just wondered how nsgminer compared

RE: NSGminer v0.9.2: The Fastest Feathercoin / NeoScrypt GPU Miner
@ghostlander its crashing on nvidia latest driver, if i load up visual studio to debug, the error is a memory access violation.
Screenshot here: http://puu.sh/mmQgw/2d732605b6.png
It creates the compiled binary, but nothing appears on the screen and it just crashes

RE: [Progress] Ideas for the Future
I will remind everyone that this topic is not for attacking others, friendly discussion of ideas, pointing out pros/cons is fine, but no name calling, offensive language, or provoking others please…
I’ll try get some of these ideas and points added to the main post, thanks

RE: [Progress] Ideas for the Future
DPoS isn’t a solution available to the current blockchain model. If you’re going to suggest that you should probably put it, along with all the other benefits of a new blockchain under a separate header.
I have done so. I will check on this thread in the morning, looking forward to seeing all the ideas.
Again, any new ideas, additions to current ideas, solutions to problems, pros or cons of ideas, are all welcome.

RE: [Progress] Ideas for the Future
Thanks for the ideas, let’s keep them rolling, ill try to keep this thread tracked and updated as often as i can :)
I’ll add DPoS as an idea, with a + being it promotes being a service provider as you get rewarded, draws people in and creates interest.
Feel free to add more points on existing ideas, possible ways to implement them, pros and cons etc.

[Progress] Ideas for the Future
Here will lie ideas for the future of Feathercoin.
Here will NOT lie abusive language or arguments.
Please post below your ideas for the future of Feathercoin.
This is not here to attack others ideas, attack others, flame others etc.
This is to consolidate and discuss all ideas, any ideas are welcome.
####################################
Core Update
- No effect on price
BTC38 listing
- Market dilution
Joining Decentralized Exchange (Qora and Burts)
- Promotes decentralization
- Not really anything to do with Feathercoin as a technology and service provider.
**DPoS **(requires fresh blockchain)
- Creates interest with the incentive to provide services and be rewarded for it.
- Not an available solution with current blockchain.
New Blockchain
-
Features/functions not available with current blockchain can be implemented from the start.
-
Creates interest (first time it would be done).
- Could cause a divided community or worse.
* What would the new/old chains/coins be called.

RE: [Solved] Malware in feathercoin-0.8.7.1-setup.exe?
There are rumours that antivirus companies list it as a threat as it makes them look good on their stats :P
Idk how much of that is true but i know first hand that norton internet security is very overprotective, it was ok with the ftc wallet but minerd.exe regularly got quarantined from idle scans despite being set to ignore it

RE: Latest GeForce Drivers and sgminer 5.1.0
Just a small note, the latest release drivers (350.12 WHQL), now include OpenCL 1.2 support. So sgminer-5.1.0 will work if you are on those drivers too, enjoy.

Latest GeForce Drivers and sgminer 5.1.0
Recently, nVidia released a hotfix driver, this is a non standard release driver (an intermediary as such).
The main interesting change is there is now full OpenCL 1.2 capability
I just ran my older miners, no changes, but then i ran sgminer 5.1.0 (which previously didnt work due to requiring opencl 1.2) and wow.
GTX 770, 40kh/s to 84kh/s.
here is the link to the hotfix driver: http://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3647
here is the link the the latest sgminer driver: http://cryptomining-blog.com/3781-new-sgminer-5-development-version-with-improved-neoscrypt-performance/
You may want to tune the settings to gain more performance, however i found that intensity 13 and worksize 32 gave a decent starting point (84kh/s)
Enjoy all!!!

RE: [Dev] NeoScrypt GPU Miner - Public Beta Test
Thanks, looking forward to hearing about your results.
Well, i got the miner files, it requires compute version 3.5 or above, this means it will only run on the following cards atm:
GTX 750
GTX 750Ti
GTX 780
GTX 780Ti
GTX Titan
GTX Titan Black
GTX Titan Z
GTX 960
GTX 970
GTX 980Other Kepler cards are 3.0
Fermi cards are 2.1I have contacted djm, and he is looking into making the miner work with compute version 2.1/3.0 cards

RE: Neoscrypt mining, for those who want to take it easy
its a neoscrypt miner
you set it up via web panel, so you dont even need a screen on your miner since you can connect to it via its web panel over a lan
-
RE: Neoscrypt mining, for those who want to take it easy
i tested it myself, on R7 240 i got marginally higher hashrate with no tweaking, perhaps i could get more
looking at hw comparison site, someones submitted a 7750 with a pretty nice hashrate (will be confirmed once the admin panel is done :) )

RE: [Dev] NeoScrypt GPU Miner - Public Beta Test
Anyone here gotten a copy of this new Nvidia ccminer? I’m wondering how it works on cards like the 760 660 Ti?
I have a little BTC built up and wondering if its worth it and if you can solo mine with it?
I tried to login in over there but don’t think I have a account setup there yet. lol 45mins until I can try again. lol
I have a 660Ti, i will report how it runs once i get my hands on the miner :D
ill probably do some comparisons between stock and overclocked aswell (if i can overclock at all depends on how my card feels - its been pushed pretty damn hard almost its entire lifespan poor thing)
i would expect the 660Ti to get about the same ish maybe higher hashrates than a 750Ti, as the Maxwell cards really do punch above their weight compared to Keplers
-
RE: [Dev] NeoScrypt GPU Miner - Public Beta Test
25kh/s seems a little low for that card, I’m getting 37kh/s from mine.
I can get 34kh/s if i overclock the pants off it, but its not stable and even slight overclocks cause it to crash rather quickly (i think ive killed it :/)
I would happily pay the 0.02btc for you but that was the last dregs of my btc. Post a btc address and I’ll see what I can do. :)
Would be awesome, ill set up a blockchain.info wallet as i dont have a bitcoin wallet downloaded, and nor do i have enough space for one on my SSD

RE: [Dev] NeoScrypt GPU Miner - Public Beta Test
hm, anyone willing to send him btc on my behalf if i send paypal? id really like to try this out
got a 660ti painfully muching away on opencl code at 25kh/s, it needs better :D

RE: Please spread hash rate - Coinotron 50% network
i use Give-Me-Coins, also used WeMineFTC and also nut2pools ftc pool (http://ftc.nut2pools.com), however nut2pools is kinda very small
edit: i see ChekaZ mines on nut2pools lol (nice hashrate there chekaz)

RE: [Dev] NeoScrypt Hardware Comparison Site
I tested the miner on my laptop (Pentium T4400 @ 2.2GHz):
INT: appears to be the old engine (gets same hashrate etc), 4.4kh/s
SSE2: a little bit faster, causes my laptop to heat up a lot more, 4.8kh/s
SSE2-4way: even faster, not as hot as SSE2, 5.8kh/s
Also on my desktop (i7-3770K @ 4.0GHz):
INT: again appears default, 27kh/s
SSE2: not much improvement, 28kh/s
SSE2-4way: a bit better, 31kh/s
it seems that the sse2 and sse2-4way engines helps alot with older cpus which do not have as much number crunching power
