Just need to get me some extension cables for my 2 x DP, 1 x DVI, USB and headphones/microphone and should be able to keep my rig on 24/7 (as can put it in cupboard and Mrs S won’t be able to hear it at night when we sleep ;D ;D ;D
edit:- cables ordered and delivered tomorrow (gotta love Amazon Prime) Hopefully the world dropping out of BTC and LTC won’t have too much of a knock on effect …
What are the advantages / disadvantages of using a ‘standard’ pool (eg wemineftc.com) over a P2Pool?
Had a look at settign upa P2Pool and that was way over my head, so won’t be starting one fo those up … but was just wanting ot see what the ‘big deal’ is with them.
Have joined in on this one too… not many peeps in it at present, but a very good looking site.
Not founda block on it yet, but sticking in there … ;D ;D ;D
Just thought I would try a bit of solo mining, to see if I could get it set up and feel that it is not as should be…
Have got the feathercoin.conf file in my appdata/roaming/feathercoin folder with the following in
rpcuser=miner
rpcpassword=bob
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcport=9337
daemon=1
server=1
gen=0
but when I start cgminer up am getting a ‘no suitable long-poll’ error and even leaving the miner to run for 15 - 20 mins getting no accepted shares.
Is there something I am missing here?
Have modified the shortcut for my Feathercoin-qt so that it now reads “C:\Program Files (x86)\Feathercoin\feathercoin-qt.exe” -server
cgminer was letting me know that new blocks had been found, so something must be right somewhere…
A quick hello from me here.
Have been mining FTC on my humble 7970 for a few months now.
Really wish I hadn’t of exchanged the 350 I had stockpiled and kept hold of them,. but slowly, surely will build up again.
Still playing with getting the most out of my VTX card but seem to be stuck around the 550KH/s area … am sure I can find some sage advice on these here forums.
