I wonder~
I don’t think it makes a difference, people do run and mine GPUs from PCIe x1. The lanespeed of PCIex1 is still suffice for mining.

If those group of people are totally new to the world of cryptocurrency, we might need to direct them to (for instance) www.feathercoin.com/gamers.
Then on that page we should give them the info:
Interested? Get started!
Are you a gamer ?
Would you like to get that in-game credit or those new games at no cost to your own wallet?
Then create a Feathercoin wallet and mine some coins at no cost! (besides bills >w>; )
Feathercoin mining works by using your Graphics Card (and CPU) power to generate ---- Etc.etc.etc.
Maybe you could have a starters page for eBay users too. Those who’re on the hunt for bargins can also make some money with some of the hardware they buy and sell. xD
Heya kaputt, welcome to the Feathercoin.com forums!
Stay around awhile and listen! You might end up more than making a buck or two, maybe a few friends to boot. :P

It’s either something specific you have installed (or don’t have installed) or 13.04 itself. I’ll have a VM up soon and I’ll poke around and see what’s what, I can’t see (nor understand) why you’re getting that issue. x:
Edit: Et voila, built perfectly on 13.04 with no issues what so ever… Which now means your problem is beyond my understanding and help… Sorry I’ve not been able to solve it for you, if possible I’d recommend a fresh install of 13.04 x:
qt4-dev-tools is installed. I have no problems building bitcoin or litecoin from source on the same machine.
Then unfortunately I’m pretty much out of ideas bar one… You could try recloning the source, but other than that it’s an issue specific to your build/setup as opposed to the Feathercoin-qt files.
Here’s my feathercoin-qt, built on Ubuntu 11.10 :
http://puu.sh/2VfUb/feathercoin-qt.zip
Drop that into your ~/ directory and double click to run it (or run ~/.feathercoin-qt)
I’ll start making a 13.x virtual machine and see if I encounter the same issues.
Edit, may need to take ownership of it “chown username feathercoin-qt”
Edit2, Installing now.

today is so hot outside +30C +26C inside with AC. cards running at +79C - +83C is it safe ? how long cards can run like that ?
They’re perfectly fine Justas, ATi/AMD GPUs will run at 95C, quite happily too, although for long periods of time ideally you want to keep it sub 90, or 85 even.

sure we are, at least within European Union, we haven’t done International Shipping yet due to more complicated formalities regarding customs etc. but there is always a “first time” for everything :)
Sorry, I use International shipping as a broad definition of any shipping outside of your home country. >w<
As UK is part of the EU (at least till around 2015) then shipping within the EU should be fairly easy ~ ^^

Hi!
We are located in Germany and Austria.
As we currently have some issues with wrong availability information on the shop, I would prefer to send you the link as PM or ask you to wait, until we have solved this, as we are currently in preperation of the relisting of all products.
BR
Ah, fair enough digiworx, I’m just curious as to the sort of items you list. It’s understandable you wouldn’t want to advertise or link a site which isn’t ready. ^_^
Germany and Austria sound plausible for me, as I live in the UK, postage wouldn’t be too bad aslong as you’re allowing international postage. xD

This morning Coinotron has added Feathercoin. Let’s hope that this brings in a few extra hash donors to get us to 33,000 :)

Hope so and this is definitely a great leap forwards in my eyes! ^_^

Hi!
We run a shop for electronic accessories (all sorts of cables, batteries, mobile phone accessories, related tools and also little gadgets).
The second shop offers spare parts for cars and motorbikes, also workshop equipment and e-bicycles, but that one is still under development. The first one is live but without FTC yet.
BR
That certainly sounds intriguing and I’m sure you’ll get some business from Cryptocoin users, where are you located and do you have a link to the site which is currently up?
FTC is now on coinotron.com Amazing ;D
:D
Hi digiworx and welcome to the Feathercoin.com forums!
Glad to see you’re taking the initiative and hopefully going to trial FTC in your shops.
Out of curiosity, what sort of ‘shops’ do you run? ~

So when did the clock start? I understand the maths and clock params, but I can’t get my head around how you came to 13:50 (or is it 01:50) now?
Also Sat 24th may 1997? What is this?
I am not criticising btw, I’m really interested, just lost a little that is all! :)

Time traveling coins, they exist!

Ignore the Hard Fork stigma. It’s the classic character flaw of all time, the inability to admit you’ve made a mistake or that something unexpected happened.
A hard fork sounds bad because Bitcoin had to do it because of an unforeseen issue and because they actually had to reverse course to the worse code to create the unity needed to move forward properly. Someone even got a double spend (which isn’t as serious as it sounds). OKPay probably loves BTC for that one.
Confirmations are coming in. This community actually focuses on what people need, not what wannabe geeks or wannabe moguls need. I love this place.
I have to agree, the block count is steadily falling now, confirmations for transactions are gathering pace and the community is proving itself strong and pull their ‘weight’ perfectly!
Very nice thefendall, it’s nice to see people giving into the community. Hopefully someone can put forth an idea, project or actual ongoing happening they can make use of the domains for ~
I make 3000 FTC closer to the $350 mark so… Good luck with the sale. x:

Damn, they just marked my first block as - Invalid -. Never seen that, but it was holding at 119 confirmations for a long time. I wonder what happened.
Yeah, sorry about that. Had to adjust the server side script to accommodate such instances (orphan blocks). This was caused because two pools / miners found a solution to the target at roughly the same time. The more difficult solution is the one that is used for the rest of the block chain which rendered your found block as invalid thus resulting in no confirmations / reward once the other one was submitted.
You would be correct :P
I should be up 24/7 now though. Besides a blip last night whereby my computer turned off. =w=
