Hey guys, I’m having some trouble with my 4890.
So Cg Miner says I’m mining at 110khash but my pool says I’m only mining at 14.
This is the code I am using
cgminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://miner.coinedup.com:3357 --scrypt -u ***** -p **** --intensity 13 -T

If I ever run sli or cross fire I will get it

Asus is very good, msi is alright, gigabyte is alright, sapphire is good. You can’t go wrong with any.

It’s only supposed to be used on sli and crossfire configurations. The idea is that by using crossfire or sli you are putting strain on the 24pin connector, and this will affect the lifespan of the board. By adding the “power boost” card you are supplying more power to the pci-e slots straight from the power supply thus putting less strain on the 24 pin connector. If you’re running a crossfire or sli configuration this would be a good investment.

I got a little upset when fc pool crashed, I almost had enough for a payout :(

Instead of going all out cutting up the heatsink, lapping the gpu and heatsink I prefer to just turn up the fan speed. My gpu sits at under 60c all day.

Cutting out the back is a bit too extreme. Also as long as you buy a good video card (reputable brand) it shouldn’t break.

I started mining on this pool last night, I did a manual payout and received it. For some reason on cudaminer it says I have 2000 confirmed shares but on the dashboard i only have 700

On my gts 450 I can run 3 c cooler by using artic silver after it breaks in. It’s also important to clean your heatsink from dust every once in a while
