Do you really think that the price will rise again? I’m very sceptical about that. There are spreading hundreds of new coins out of nowhere which replaces feathercoin. Also the Asics have arrived already and the promised rise ist still be missed. By what power should Feathercoin rise again? There is no demand so the price is low. Also mining is getting harder and harder because the income is hardly covering the costs. If there’s coming a new wave of investors, businesses and customers which are interested in crypto they will rather put their money in Bitcoin because of its prominence or in a 2nd generation currency like NXT because of its features and advantages. Sorry for being pessimistic but I find you should be more realistic. It can be that feathercoin will rise again but at the moment there is absolutely no sign for that.

Is there something new about the legal action? What is the solicitor saying? Will he get away with that?

I noticed that the difficulty of FTC has risen a lot in the last days although the price dropped. Furthermore there is a new coin “Auroracoin” which has gained attention of many miners, so many scrypt miner switched to Auroracoin. Also the prices of Doge and LTC rose but their difficulties haven’t changed very much. With the new coin the difficulty should drop because the mining power is splitted unless there are more miners now. But the increase is really significant so I conclude that maybe first asics have arrived. What do you think?

Am I the only one who thinks that there are too many criminals out in crypto currencies? That disaster at MtGox, all the scam websites and pools, the constant DDos attacks on pools, exchanges and forums and trading places like Silk Road. I know, if you’re careful and save all your crypto on encrypted wallets no one can steal your cryptos but It can’t still be that the criminals just get away with that. Sooner or later I will trade or buy with my crypto but I don’t want to buy from people who are probably criminals. I bet 20% of all Bitcoins that are traded are from a criminal source. I don’t want to support thieves and hacker.

I know this is probably against the philosophy of most crypto-currencies but in my opinion there should be a tool which can be used against the criminals. Still I wouldn’t give up the the anonymity. Maybe it is possible to implement a trust rating for a wallet which can everybody see. If you want to buy something from someone who is anonymous you can check with his payment adress how high the trust level is. Is it low or the wallet completely new it is possible to withdraw you coins within a week or so. If you bought something and it hasn’t arrived within a week you can withdraw your coins timely. Of course it is a disadvantage for the seller because he gets his coins only in a week and must in the meantime ship the order to the customer. But he also has access to the trust rating of the customer and furthermore he has the adress of the customer. So the customer isn’t anonymous anyway. Of course this system wouldn’t solve all problem and it certainly has issues but I just wanted to give some food for thougth and maybe you have some more interesting ideas.

The new website seems to be a little slower but perhaps this is just temporary. It looks really very nice!

I sold a few Feathercoins at .0004 to rebuy them at .0003 or so. This is obviously just a pump and I think this won’t last for a long time. I mean look at the changes of the top Cryptos: [img]http://i.imgur.com/ZIHNl7w.jpg[/img]

I think a new design will show people that Feathercoin is NOT dying as many trolls claim these days. And perhaps it could save Feathercoin drop below .0003 :P

I’d really like to join but I don’t really have money right now. I just could offer a deal: If the legal action brings at least a little money back you get whatever you need to cover the costs. Besides the fact that I don’t have many savings (my last saving will be invested in a mining-rig - to start over) I must admit that I don’t want spend more money without good chances to get the money back. This was hard enough for me. But I don’t give up completely. If I can help in any way please contact me. Furthermore I’ll try to contact Shane and some of his relatives from time to time and try to find an extrajudicial solution.

I want to mention that I won’t accept fiat because who knows how much btc or ftc will be worth when we get our money back.
I mean if the value btc/ftc raises e.g. by 50-100% he couldn’t pay us back anyway in crypto currency, so he must refund within the next days or weeks.
If the price falls luck for him.
