Hmm, I’ll port my short-guide over.

The mining guide says cgminer version 3.7 is needed for scrypt, but the download site has only the source, not pre-compiled for windows… I’d like to test the card right away instead of going for linux just yet (so I can compare). Where can I find the 3.7 windows executable?

It could be possible that OP is mining in a pool with very few workers. Those pools take days to solve a single block, especially when you’re unlucky and the actual shares of a block go waaaay above the estimated shares. That’s when things can feel like forever.

Now if someone could only make an usb to pci-express adapter and we would be golden :D

Hmm, they’re a little too short for me to house 4 cards.

With the weather here at my place (35C all year round), I need MORE space than that. So 3 cards for me max, need adequate ventilation for the cards.

As it is now, a single R9 280X when placed alone runs at around 76C, eeks.

Still they look pretty solid to me, might consider getting one in the future :)

Yeah, the pool’s been pretty stable so far.

In the process of cashing out some coins, it is taking a while though since we only find one or two blocks a day.

Wow, never knew FTC network hit 250 difficulty before.

I started mining FTC when the network difficulty was around 120-160.

So as it stands, it’s considered pretty bad to me ::)
