The p2pool on p2pool.maeh.org still seems very stable. There are now 4 active miners and the efficiency is quite high in comparison to earlier versions (95% in comparison to around 50% earlier).
As i like statistics, i have started to create some p2pool statistics and also have a list of PXC p2pools at http://crypto.maeh.org/p2pools_pxc.html

Looking good! I am getting around 40 kH/s with a AMD Radeon 7950 so far. Has been running for some hours now and seems to be stable! Good work!
Updated p2pool.maeh.org. Looks good. Orphan rate reduced significantly from my point of view.
Is there also a linux version available for the GPU miner? I could run some tests on a 7950 card.
Not sure if it helps - i have also installed a PXC p2pool on p2pool.maeh.org:10554. This one uses the ghostlander source from github and is in a p2pool network with pool20 and p2pool.neoscrypt.de - so that looks fine right now.

FYI, i updated the p2pool-feathercoin source to the latest p2pool upstream. p2pool-feathercoin is now 13.4.65 and available on github (https://github.com/andreasfaerber/p2pool-feathercoin).

What would you like to achieve? What you could do is periodically get the stats from p2pool and track the active miners. This way you see which miners have been active for how long. They will disappear once not active from the stats…

So far i have not found an easy way to query that remotely…
Added that. Pools not answering for 1 hour are now being deleted from the list. They will be re-added once they’re active again and show up for the p2pool node (if they change ip address)
From p2pool? Constantly or only once? If it’s only once that should not be an issue. Could you post more lines of the log file?
You also need power for cooling / air conditioning on top of the power required for running the rigs. Unless you want it warm and cozy, even in Summer! ;-)
What may be worth a thought (Have only data center cooling experience and not cooling mining rigs in a room! ;) ): Could a cold aisle containment be established and help? Like only allowing the cooled air to go through the rigs? If the rigs are in plastic baskets and not in normal chassis that might get difficult, though…
And one important thing that might be overlooked: Don’t forget the time that it takes you to manage it (Doing the maintenance, software updates, running the pool and software, etc).
The disadvantage of your concept (for me) is that a customer would be locked in for 6-12 months. You cannot sell whenever you feel like it. You can do that on CEX.IO which results in a more or less constant stream of customers and also demand.

I also use sublime text for bigger stuff. For smaller stuff i use vim (VI improved)…
Is libssl and the source files installed on your system? For example “libcurl4-openssl-dev” ?
Yeah. It is a bit misleading as some pools that are still running the old version or on a different port (p2pool.org) are not in the list so far. But yes, we do need more active nodes and more hashing power. We started from 0 MH/s though…
Yeah, that’s the backup pool for pool.maeh.org. As the script is currently running on that pool it does not add the domain name correctly. Fixed.
@prensel: But the reverse lookup says so for 141.138.141.253. I have reverted the change and only list host names for matching forward and reverse lookups. That seems to be more safe to me.
Any other feature requests?
