Thanks for posting this thread. I think it goes hand in hand with Li Ka-Shing’s recent investment into BitPay…which suggests that Chinese do want BitCoin and will find a way to get it/use it. Especially since Ka-Shing seems to think that the better investment are exchanges…which makes sense for him (rich guy) as he is counting on the transaction fees to build up.

TL;DR - Ka-Shing seems to think that the Chinese will increase their Bitcoin transactions to make his investment worthwhile.

I agree that as a whole this should be our priority. We need to restructure how we as a society value our time. But that is easier said than done. The people at the top like it this way and want it to remain for obvious reasons. We need Bitcoin and other crypto currencies to increase exponentially like that so the people who would never have made it to the top can potentially effect some positive change in that direction.

In that sense, wanting Bitcoin or needing it to be worth a million isn’t an effed priority. Will it be worth a million. Eh…I somehow doubt it. The article is old and didn’t factor in any kind of government regulation which is what we are starting to see indirectly so I think it is a bit optimistic. That and it is kind of biased. The author’s disclaimer at the bottom is mildly amusing

I got caught into the Bitcoin buzz in April and bought a modest amount. Was tracking Litecoin and missed the boat on that one by a couple of weeks and am now looking into other currencies. I am one of those guys who wants to make a lot of money but I also recognize the implicit importance cryptocurrencies can have on our future. I really like the idea of taking the bankers out of the equation so that they can experience what they forced onto other people (unlikely but pipedreams can be fun)…

So yeah, I am interested in learning what I can about Feathercoin and I bid all of you a fond greeting!
