@wellenreiter
I recently installed debian 9 on a machine… anything for that yet?
As user I understand a lot of changes going on… I will try this on debian 8.
Thanks for your work,
Best!

RE: Feathercoin Wallet for Android not syncing
Really good work. I also noticed those sync problems, sometimes up and sometimes down, but I have confidence in this team excellent team of developers, so I did not post any request here, and just wait for it to be solved.
Perfect is Good’s worst enemy!
Way to go!
I dig Feathercoin! -
RE: problem with payments - "not transmitted, in conflict"
@wrapper Indeed very much right!! That you said fixed my issue, I “re-synced” the whole blockchain in my android wallet and the “unsent funds” are back in my pocket again. I will try also to do so in my qt wallet and let you know. Really nice and smooth! Thank you all for being so kind supporting my questions. I should have tried that before asking! RE: problem with payments - "not transmitted, in conflict"
@Wellenreiter Thanks for your explanation I have to get more information on that… time has passed and my wallet still states “this payment has not been transmitted…” I am afraid I will never see those coins again… It is not that I loose a fortune, but my confidence on BC tech goes down in some way… I would not like that to happen again, or at least I would like to know why… Best!

RE: problem with payments - "not transmitted, in conflict"
@mirrax Yes my “conflict” problem was also on 9.3.0 back last summer. I still have those coins “not avilable” but there.

RE: NSGminer v0.9.2: The Fastest Feathercoin / NeoScrypt GPU Miner
@RIPPEDDRAGON
yes, I will try to test changing some parameters to get more. It does make 400 and more sometimes, spectially if I keep it with fresh air in… I am just happy to have it going, I am not much of an expert, so I get happy just to see it run! -
problem with payments - "not transmitted, in conflict"
I have this problem with transation made a couple of hours ago from my android wallet. It states: “This payment has not been transmitted”(translated from spanish). What can I do about this? Feathercoins are not available anymore for me, but payment has not been accomplished.
Last summer I had a similar issue with my qt wallet as I did a transaction that says: “In conflict” (also translation from spanish), but since it had only happened once I just dismissed it and assumed the cost… but this second experience makes me fear about the possibility of loosing value randomly, and something that happens twice will sure happen a third time. Why is this happening? Can I solve this somehow?
Thanks -
RE: NSGminer v0.9.2: The Fastest Feathercoin / NeoScrypt GPU Miner
I am glad to say that after a while trying to set up my AMD with one R9 380 sapphire card miner running on debian, I have finally achieved my goal and it is making about 300 KH/s with nsgminer v0.9.2 (That is plain start command with no tweaking yet but intensity…). Thanks ghostlander (and everyone involved) for keeping up the work. FTC rules!

GPU mining is awesome
Thanks Feathercoin team for doing such a great job with this incredible cryptocurrency and developing neoscrypt. Best to all!

RE: Blockchain voting strategy
By chance I found this exchange site where they have a voting process every 7 days, in order to promote coins. I wonder how do they address the double voting problem. Wonder I do.

RE: Browse Anonymously with a DIY Raspberry Pi VPN/TOR Router
Interesting tutorial. Raspberry is awesome.
I found myself trying to install feathercoin-qt in my raspi running raspbian, but it will not be as easy as I thought. Any advice on this issue?
Thanks! -
RE: Blockchain voting strategy
Interesting point on Bitshares smart contract platform. Can’t wait to see more. I am trying to understand more about this subject. It is probably being developed in as financial tool because, after all, decision making means resources, most of the time also called money. So collective fund management could be essentially a voting system.
The thing about trust, or how to assume corruption… I guess computer voting is probably something unsolvable. ;)

RE: Blockchain voting strategy
I understand what you mean, but that problem is out of scope. It is related to trust within the voting community. Anybody inside the decision making process could vote double, or just not vote. Result would be then considered as invalid (unmatched voter and transactions balance in any sign), and community would have to address a much bigger problem, facing the fact that state of the art cannot yet solve this. It is only suitable for people willing to make it work, and committed to become administrators rather that users.
The actual scope is anonymity on option stated by voter, that is so we as a community (and also third parties) cannot obtain information on who issued what specific option. User registration is a fact as instructions are sent to an email. Keeping that communication “safe” would be just as it happens with our human life. For digital home voting it would be a matter of keeping security procedures as high as possible when creating, operating and destroying voting wallet.
In the real life experiment that I may be holding voting would be made locally as users are not familiar yet with cryptocurrency and technology, so registration of users is automatic. It does worry me the fact that timestamps could be made from outside and then checked with public transactions = votes option.
I thought about having a double room space so all voters would go in, and once there access a different room were voting process could be made. That would at least solve the problem of time stamps inside the trusting circle. Some music, some food and it would really be a party.
Thanks for your feedback

Blockchain voting strategy
I am thinking about using Feathercoin as a mean for vote accounting, but I am not quite sure about the integrity of the method I suggest in this article at my personal blog:

Anybody would care to share a thought on the issue?
Thanks!

RE: FTC's future
[100% PoS | TX Fee only with 0% Block reward]
Yes.
I am suggesting we stop all production of coins (Feathercoins).
We give the world ample warning and make the shift to a truly Scarce coin.
Please excuse me for not being able to technically really understand, so I would like to ask if I understood it right:
I just text think if you mean something like a coin that is been “coined” up to a total, kind of what would be if all Bitcoins already mined some when, so actually no more production of new coins, and all effort going in decentralization and securing the network, going to securing transactions in that coin closed ecosystem?
I wonder how would price and value do in such currency…

RE: FTC's future
Hi,
This is my personal and subjective opinion on FTC’s future:
Feathercoin price going down, and pools closing because of economic collapse on mining… Price of electricity, cost of infrastructures, war is coming… Who knows?. You cannot relay on fiat exchange rating price, as it does not reflect the truth about technology. Price and value do not always walk together, specially in its origins, and also during intense changes. Too much general misunderstandings, disinformation and perhaps attacks on reputation, real or not. In my opinion money is, at the end of the day, a trust issue.
We the people are shifting values -as we have always been through history- and quite not really understand what is going on. But there is something for sure: You will find faith in the last explanation. I can make my biggest effort to understand the technology -we all do-, but I must at some time relay on an individual or community that knows more that I do. And therefore trust, believe.
And yes, we stand over every layer that we have built before, but the last and most effective faith that shapes our world is technology. We may see price fall and rise, but the value of Feathercoin (and cryptographies in general) is much higher than people think it is. Only time, knowledge and specific actions (experience) will tell where we go. Thanks for making it possible.

Thanks for your answers. I feel better knowing I am not the only one experiencing this issue.
Qt wallet is just fine then.

Hi - Android wallet sync problem
Hello,
First thank you very much for such an interesting project you have here and all the work you do. Really nice. I dig Feathercoin.
Second I would like to state an issue that I have not been capable of overcoming.
My android wallet gets stuck when downloading blockchain. It states that it is downloading, and if I check pairs connected it is indeed sending and recieving information. However no matter how long I wait it is always 9 weeks back.
I have tried some related solutions provided here in this forum -as it upgrading to version 2, uninstalling program and importing back my private keys, restarting Blockchain- but none will work for me.
Any suggestions on what can I do?. It is a very small amount of feathercoins there, but really a high amount of trust on this kind of wallet…
My wallet version is 3.02 running on Android 4.1.2 - application is in Spanish…
Once again, thanks for this fantastic cryptocurrency!
