sorry but this no longer work with the latest wallet 0.16.1.
Miner got this answer from the wallet:
JSON-RPC call failed: Method not found
getwork failed

RE: A bit of a noob here.
so after long run of alexis ccminer there is a try of latest cryptodredge (0.6.0).
MSI GTX 1060 6GB gives these values:
835kH/s (i-5 and max temp set to 70 + autopower limit in afterburner) - cca 130W
and summer power saving mining with less heat 730kH/s (i-5 and max temp set to 63) - cca 90W per cardit seems that this miner is stable and pool reported hashrate is + - the same as the miner reports. This miner is not free, there is 1% dev fee - miner switch mining to dev pool for very short periods during the day.

UPnP does not work in the latest wallet
hi,
I just replaced old version of windows core wallet to the latest 0.13.1. I have fast 1Gbps connection with public IP and enabled UPnP support in my router and enabled it in the wallet settings of course with allowing incoming connections. Other coins wallets are able to open their port properly but only latest FTC wallet is not able to do it. Still have only 8 connections out and 0 in. Is it an issue or is it an intention in this version of wallet?
I want to let wallet run as a node for supporting the network and it was not problem with 0.9.6 version. What port should I open in my router manually if UPnP is not working properly? Still 9336?
edit: yes 9336, after opening it manually in the router it is OK. Incoming connections are up. Only UPnP does not want to open port correctly. -

@miningpoolscloud
thanks for this, great job. Will be HELP section available soon (basic setup for miner) ? -
RE: Mining... am I doing it right?
@ghostlander said in Mining... am I doing it right?:
It doesn’t matter much what driver version is in use. All CUDA miners have kernels built at the compile time by a specific CUDA toolkit.
but it does matter. eg, using alexis with driver newer than 184.xx gives only half of hashrate and does not matter how is intensity set. It has something to do with used CUDA version. I am windows user and I am not able to compile ccminer directly to my system, so I would depend on what is available on the internet.
If I use later driver than 184 and want to use alexis - it gives me max about 450kh/s.
Using tpruvot with the latest driver gives me back about 770kh/s. -
RE: Mining... am I doing it right?
change ccminer version, GTX1060 should give about 750-800kh/s in neoscrypt.
Check correct mining rates here:
https://forum.feathercoin.com/topic/9606/a-bit-of-a-noob-here/8and the third screenshot is normal. There are some accepted shares, but there is not visible worker diff set from pool side. It is possible that pool set a bit higher worker/share diff for your miner so there is accepted share in longer period. Or if you are SOLO mining, it is normal too. Lines with accepted share (YES) are the blocks found by your miner.
If you use nvidia driver 384.xx then you should use ccminer alexis with intensity set to around 13.5 - 14 - 14.5, works great at almost every system.
Under ccminer you use there is 65536 cuda threads used (intensity 21). The same value you should find by tuning intesity under ccminer alexis. But do not be surprised, it will be different I- number. And 65536 is the max reasonable for GTX1060. My miner is doing 775kh/s with I-14 (16384 cuda threads, gpu temp is max 69) now, and the desktop is usable for work and browsing the Internet without problems.

RE: A bit of a noob here.
here are my values:
MSI GTX 1060 6GB with Ccminer Alexis + Nvidia driver 384.xx in neoscrypt :
775kh/s (i-14 + afterburner set to max temp 69 with auto power limit)
815kh/s (i-14.5 + afterburner set to max temp 70 with auto power limit)
MSI GTX 1060 3GB with Ccminer Alexis + Nvidia driver 384.xx in neoscrypt :
750kh/s (i-14)
780kh/s (i-14.5)
pool side reports ± the same rate as miner.if Nvidia driver newer than 384.xx is used, use Ccminer tpruvot instead, tune intensity value and hashrate will be ± the same.
mining at system with Intel i-3 3220, 10GB RAM and Windows 7 Pro 64bit.

RE: Feathercoin 0.13 binaries
ok thanks for answer, will use current 32b version because it looks like UFO for me to compile 64b version :-)
-
RE: Feathercoin 0.13 binaries
thanks a lot for geat job. When the win64 installation will be available? Is this 0.13 ver official? If yes, why is still 0.9.6.2 on the main feathercoin page?

RE: Feathercoin comes out as a gold rated coin on Cryptopia.
not now, currently FTC is delisting, because there was hardfork without prior notice. Cryptopia is closing FTC market.

RE: Who is buying?
I use daily BTC interest from investment projects (currently Lara and ELM) for buying on daily basis. It is the best way how to obtain coins if there is no mining machine. .-) The main part of my purchases is FTC. If anybody want to know more, write me via chat.

ok thanks for the explanation, this message disappeared yesterday. I will rather run 0.9.3.1 because it works fine for me.

[Solved] to devs: 0.9.3.1 checkpoint problem
hi, I got this error in walet 0.9.3.1 today:
WARNING: Inconsistent checkpoint found! Stop enforcing checkpoints and notify developers to resolve the issue.what does it mean and why this happens? Can I use this version or should I have to wait for fix from devs? There is nothing about latest stable version on the official FTC website. What ver should users use?

RE: Windows Wallet failing to install - throws errors missing libwinpthread-1.dll & libssp-0.dll
I have the same problem here, running Windows 7 Pro 64bit SP1 and it works only with given dlls.

RE: Do NOT buy FTC on CRYPTSY.
Can confirm, there is something wrong with Cryptsy. Waiting for my withdraw several hours and still pending :-(
My last success withdraw was a month ago and it was processed in several minutes. -
RE: [Dev] Feathercoin version 0.9.3.1 Official release & Feedback
hi, could you tell me what stable version for windows is the correct? I use last I found on ftc oficial website, from debug windows: v0.8.7.1-beta-qr
and you are talking about higher releases. Will something newer in installation-version/all files in archive be uploaded?
thanks -
GPU comparison (Neoscrypt)
hi all,
as there is no comparison chart for GPUs in Neoscrypt, could you post your GPU, hashing speed, approx. power consumption and clocks? NVIDIA vs AMD (power consumption/hashspeed) ? Is AMD still better choice for mining if you count algo change to Neoscrypt?
There are many charts for SHA256/SCRYPT on the Internet. If there were a chart for NEOSCRYPT, it would help people to decide what kind of GPU they should choose/buy. I will make a chart to this post after enough posts in this topic.

thanks for update :) I hope that neoscrypt will really help to FTC

[solved] Incorrect stats on the official page \ website daemon needed restarting
hi, I want to inform FTC dev.team that STATS on the official webpage of FTC are incorrect or mining pools are hashing for wrong/forked chain. According to stats current block is 122934 but pools I have checked are reporting current block 123135. Is it error/forked chain or is there any delay on FTC website?
