Looks pretty cool! Keep up the good work. Unity can do quite the job that’s for sure. :)
Thanks! Yes Unity is Awsome! I see this game as my contribution to the promotion of Cryptocurrency! Who knows it might help a whole new generation of gamers become more aware of the future of money through a game! :)

RE: CoinRPG! A Bitcoin RPG Game!
Latest Update! OK, so we now have basic Networking Working! = ) you can test the basic networking gameplay here: http://coinrpg.com/play.html, for now all we can do is see each other in a game session / room we create and collect coins. All driven with the Mouse using a Click to Move Controls. We’ll be working on the Combat System very Soon! So you’ll be able to battle with other players in realtime and if you win the fight, you force the other player to drop a coin!
Some other features that will be in the game is Player vs Enemy and Player vs Player, so you’ll have 3 ways to Hunt for Coins in the Game. You can Battle other Players, Fight Enemy AI (bots) that roam in the Field like a normal RPG Game, and ofcoarse exploring and finding the coins on the world map…
I think this will be a fun game for all ages! = ) More too come…

is it because of 3d? because java 3d not ready? because silverlight is lol? because flash also fails?GoldenTowns.com works in browser.
Well it’s simply because the Game Engine I am using Unity 3D, the Developers have yet to create a Unity Webplayer Plugin Compatible with Linux. Linux can totally Run 3D Games, that’s not even it, it’s a Browser Plugin, Linux, Binary thing… maybe you try to install the Plugin under WINE.

This is a great idea!If the user could select which coin(s) they wanted to play for it would be a great feature and draw in an even larger user base. Or just roll out separate versions using different coins and market them separately to the different communities.
Thanks! I think I could probably add an Option for Changing the Coins you Want to Collect! It could a Runtime Texture Update/Swap Switching the Coins Textures to Feathercoin or any other popular coin.

What about Debian users? What is this Unity player thingamabob?
ah, yes Unity Webplayer (Browser Plugin) is not Available for Linux, but there is a Linux Executable Copy of the Game I could Build. But it’s tougher to maintain multiple builds. Browser is much easier, Build Once and All can Access it from PC or MAC OS X Browsers. But if there is a demand for a Linux Version sure I could do it.

Crypto-trade vs btc-e
So which do you guys prefer and or recommend using (Exchanging from US)? crypto-trade vs btc-e
I am looking at which one will make my exchange of FTC to USD much easier,
cyrpto-trade offers Only PayPal 10% Fee with direct FTC to USD, while btc-e offers PayPal at 7% Fee and also Wire Transfer Option with %1.5 Fee + Min $150 Fee. But with btc-e I need to go from FTC to BTC, then BTC to USD.
Anyone here from the US Exchanging Coins through either one these Exchanges? Which one works best for you?

RE: Is there a Demand for Feathercoin VPS?
So who’s going to be responsible for 100s of FeatherCoin wallets and their contents, yourself? What if you disappear? How about security?
Who is Responsible for FeatherCoin Wallets? Not me… You of-coarse are Responsible for your Own Wallet Regardless of whether or Not you want to Run your Wallet on your Local PC or on a Remote PC (VPS). On Remote PC (VPS) you will need to ensure you backup your wallet.dat file that’s all, keep it safe in various locations, on Dropbox maybe, and on your Local PC, and External Drive.
If I disappear, as long as you made sure to backup your wallet.dat it shouldn’t matter if I disappear your Wallet is still Secure with you…
Regarding Security, such as Preventing Users from Logging into your VPS, my first thoughts are… you would access your VPS over SSH a Secure Encrypted Tunnel through a SSH Client called Putty, then you would Login to your VPS from their via VNC a Remote Desktop Client. (i’m talking about Linux here as it would be much more secure than Windows). Then to Secure your SSH, we’d have an IP Blocker Automatically Setup where it would Block IPs after Several Attempts of Logins on your VPS from a Particular IP.
These are just my thoughts, I’m sure there may be better ways to Secure a VPS and open to discussing it, but that’s is even if a VPS is even a Need at All, which so far does not seem like so.

RE: \[Solved\] Feathercoin Client \* Synching to the network
thank you for the awesome response… really appreciate your time and details.
I totally didn’t think about the miners… so the network will always be operational as long as their are miners. That’s good to know. Thanks again,

Is there a Demand for Feathercoin VPS?
Hello all, I am just curious if there is any demand for Featercoin VPS (Virtual Private Server), in other worlds Virtual PCs to Host / Run your Feathercoin - Wallet on at all times, 24/7 so you don’t have to worry about Syncing your Wallet with the Network everytime you start Feathercoin - Wallet on your Home or Work PC.
Let me know your thoughts, if there is a demand for such a service, I may be able to offer a Feathercoin VPS Service for FTC and USD. Let me know.
Thanks,
-
\[Solved\] Feathercoin Client \* Synching to the network
OK, so it’s been maybe two days and my Feathercoin - Wallet is still not fully synced although I have not left it for 24 hours, I’m usually on my PC about 8 Hours a Day and have had Feathercoin - Wallet running but still after i guess 16 Hours I’m only at 45% done. Is this Normal??
Also, it does seem to be moving along alittle faster right now as I write this and I notice I have more active connections than before, so maybe that’s why it’s going faster because I’m connecting to more Clients (Nodes) in the Network to Download the Ledger. While this makes sense… I curious about something…
What happens if there are 0 Active Connections? What if No one has their Feathercoin - Wallet Running? That means the whole Network is pretty much down? Since this is a P2P Network Right?
Also if No one has their Feathercoin - Wallet Running, then how does Feathercoin continue to function? Why would it not just crash the minute that happens?
Finally in order for Feathercoin to continue growing, do we all need to participate and keep our Feathercoin - Wallet Running at all times, even if we are not using Feathercoin at any given moment?

RE: Hello from North Miami
Thanks! Yes I am in it for the long haul not looking for a quick flip. I hope I can help feathercoin become more established by offering some service that accept feathercoin. I’ll post another thread regarding what I may be able offer and get some feedback from you all. Thank you! Excited this be apart of a new growing community and economy of feathercoins currency.

Hello from North Miami
Hello all, I’m totally new to virtual currency! but already I’m a believer lol!
I spent hours trying to purchase feathercoin directly from a trader site but had no luck with direct payments because seem most don’t accept USD from US residents… sucks!! but I went ahead and purchased some Bitcoin at coinbase.com, I have to wait until next Friday receive the Bitcoins then I can coinmkt.com to convert Bitcoin for feathercoin! Geez… what a pain.
But anyway I’m taking a dive head first with a purchase of 500 Feathercoins as an Investment. Very interested to see if Feathercoin can potential raise in Value similar to Bitcoin, if so then I’d be one happy man when or if that time comes.
