So many people I’ve spoken to have also followed a similar pattern. Once you try x11 or one of the other exotic Algos, it’s very difficult to use Scrypt again…

Guy like KNC have been testing their ASICS for a while now, that’s where all the profits have gone of late, the ASIC testers… x11 is on the rise, leasing is getting busy on weekends now, I’ve been buying DRK, FTC and NRS with my rental profits…

Ignition, have you updated your X11 to X11mod? I got a speed increase from 1400->1900 on each 270x. Not bad, eh? :) In your case, that would be HUGE!

Yeah man farm went from 260 to 390 Mh/s in one foul swoop… They were talking about this x11 mod on the deep web for a while now but I could never find it…

How much will you be leasing them for? and how long? Month intervals? Yearly? Weekly?

Check out BetaRigs, you can lease your rigs out for 3. 6. 12. 24, 48, 72 and 168 hours… Depending on how busy it is, you can get anywhere from .0015 and .0045 BTC per Mh/s per day running x11…

At current crypto values i bet not.

At this point in time im giving my cards an small holiday to rest up waiting for the values to sving around.

Off course it all depends on how much the electrisity cost, i pay 0.17$ pr KW…

Haha yes I have had to change my strategy somewhat and look further than past my own nose for profit. I’m playing the long game on a few currencies which will make things profitable in the future…

No not yet mate, but with the rise of x11 coins leasing my farm out configured to x11 spec is making things reasonable. Mind you, I’ve only had the 30 rigs humming along for a week, so time will tell…

ASIC’s for scrypt-n are all ready in development. What do make of that?

I agree it’s too late to change algo’s now, should have been done months ago. Best to just hope FTC doesn’t get forgotten about as all the x11 coins start to become popular…

As a GPU miner, I can’t even think of Scrypt or Scrypt-N simply because it seems like I’m punishing my rigs compared to x11.

What was the initial cost for all of this and where are you running this from?

30 rigs, 10 BTC Asics, Electrical Work, Security, didn’t get a whole lot of change out of $150k… I almost just invested all of it in BTC, FTC, DRK and VTC but mining is more fun… And hey, it wouldn’t be crypto if I didn’t get scammed on Country and Colour coins now would it?

I’m in Australia dude, Melbourne, it’s a bit of an IT hub down under, we had a reasonably impressive BTC conference recently…

Ya was the reason why I went 270x and not 280x, I spend a lot of time in there and soon I will be living there too :-)

x11 has made the warehouse bearable…

For a very short time I had a crate of Sapphire 290x’s, it made more noise than all the other rigs put together and that mother f*cker would echo off the walls and floor like I was being tortured, it almost drove me mental…

Yes mate, they are 270x Toxics, and I blame you for that ;)

The other rigs, 3 x 4 x GA 290 BF4 edition, 3 x 4 x 280x Sapphire Vapour-X and 1 x 6 x 280x Sapphire Vapour-X. When the skin grows back on my fingers I’m gonna upgrade those 6 crates with 4 GPU’s in them to 6 GPU crates…

On a good day it’s around 100 Mh/s Scrypt and 260 Mh/s x11…

I will be leasing them out mainly and just buying whatever coins I want to invest in, that’s the plan anyway…

Haven’t been active on the forums lately, been very busy finishing off my farm. I decided against Scrypt ASICS, went BTC ASICS and 30 GPU rigs to stay nimble:

Use Memclock 1500 and Engine 1050 to begin with, it will slow your system down so if you need to use your system whilst you are mining, try Memclock 1425 and Engine 950, that should give you a bit of room to play with…

Hey, here’s the settings:

Card is running Stock with -10 Powertune

Thread Conc: 21712

Vectors: 1

GPU Theads: 1

Worksize: 256

Intensity: 17

Shaders on that card is 2048, so I’m guessing a 280x is a rebadged 7950. Most people run 2 gpu threads, Thread Concurrency 8192 and Intensity 13.

I’ve also heard that GUIMiner is unstable and is prone to crashing quite a lot for no good reason, I would run CG Miner if I were you… You’re system slowing down would be settings related, so you could de-tune your settings if you wanted to mine and use your PC at the same time.
