Hi - thank you. I did manage to get it downloaded but only after a bunch of extra effort. Firefox blocked it from downloading, Chrome blocked it from downloading (after I managed to figure out how to navigate past the big red warning), and third attempt: Safari did download it, however then I had to figure out how to get it to open as Apple Yosemite doesn’t allow regular opens of apps from “unidentified developers.” All in all, such difficult downloads - fraught with warnings of malicious content all along the way - does not bode well for the future of Feathercoin. Regular Joe Smith would likely run off to another cryptocurrency at the first red flag of it having malicious content and not investigate as I have since I’m already invested. Chrome and Firefox blocked its download completely with warnings. If Feathercoin is to have growth in its future perhaps there are ways the Feathercoin organization can help downloads on common browsers to be easy and not riddled with malicious content warnings on a common Mac Yosemite system. At the very least, perhaps there should be advisement on the main download site of how to deal with the “unidentified developer” issue on Mac systems. The solution to that is that once it’s downloaded to press Control and Open for the app. (Mac Help has full details on the part in its entry “Open an app from an unidentified developer.”)
The number of difficulties, blocks, and malicious content warnings I encountered in various browsers trying to download the Feathercoin app looks like a rather serious issue if Feathercoin is to grow. Let me know if I can be of further assistance and thank you for your correspondence.
