Yes, the cgminer 3.7.7b with 6950 is not very stable… able to run it for more than 24hrs at -I 14 -w 128 -g 2 but has difficulty shutting it down… have to kill it with -9 getting about 4.5KHash/s, there should be a lot of rooms for improvements.

RE: [Dev] NeoScrypt GPU Miner - Public Beta Test
You can’t set the same -w value for HD6XXX as for HD7XXX and R2XX anything lower than 64/128 and it will fail to start.

RE: [Dev] NeoScrypt GPU Miner - Public Beta Test
my 6950 is really slow… its like just 4kH
@Yusuf, you may want to try a higher -w value…

Worldcoin news and website update
Just notice worldcoin has updated their website and had a news.
worldcoin news is
-
We have decided, after much deliberation, to reveal our identities to demonstrate our level of professional commitment and personal involvement with the future of Worldcoin.
-
Worldcoin will have representation at the Global Economic Symposium in Germany, October 1-2 in Kiel, Germany. We will be attending to discuss the future of cryptocurrency and, more specifically, Worldcoin’s value potential in global commerce.
Will feathercoin be going for that Symposium too in Germany?

Any idea where to get the obj/net.o file. Thanks
That file should be created as part of the compilation process.
Can you give us a run down of what you are doing, where it is going wrong and provided some error text?
I encountered this while compiling…
/FeatherCoin/src/obj -DUSE_UPNP=0 -DHAVE_BUILD_INFO -fno-stack-protector -fstack-protector-all -Wstack-protector -D_FORTIFY_SOURCE=2 -MMD -MF obj/net.d -o obj/net.o net.cpp
net.cpp:21:32: fatal error: miniupnpc/miniwget.h: No such file or directory
compilation terminated.
make: *** [obj/net.o] Error 1miniupnpc is installed, running on mint 15.
Update, found the solution…
I install the following…
sudo apt-get install libminiupnpc-dev
Compiled 6.4.4 feathercoind without issue.
Thanks… :)
Note: its not in the build-unix.txt to install the “libminiupnpc-dev”. Maybe its good to update the build-unix.txt in the document folder.

RE: 13 to 18 year olds having their details on the Feathercoin map for potential FTC exchange
Why people shouting away because they think they need to protect 13-18years old? 13-18years old are really young adults already, no longer kids. They have their way of thinking and no longer dependent on their parents to make decisions. They learn from peers and from their own experiences and if they fall, they get up and becomes wiser.
If people are so worried about 13-18years old privacy, please either you or parents 24/7 monitor what they are doing(hmm, another privacy issue) or just disconnect them. Anything online are always logged by someone, don’t let them have emails, don’t let them have facebook, twitter, etc, don’t let them read anything online, no youtube for them(tons of craps too), don’t allow them to have cell phones too, and to the extreme, don’t go to school, but home study instead. Is that the way to go?
Linking name to a city are really nothing, It does gives a feel of the community of where they are and how many are around you. To “feel” that we are dealing with a real person(regardless of age, sex and race, as long as its a human being), that the community are not limited to just Americans or the British(yes, why only FTC beer at oxford,uk, ;p ) but the fact that we are earthlings, when bushstar, chrisj or anyone exhale, that very same air gets blown across and I may get to inhale in that very same air molecule.
So, cool down and go take a shower…
Cheers…

RE: Big whale tanked FTC for manipulation
Yup, saw it at the mcxNOW chatbox by RealSolid, they are going to add in first PPC(should be either later today or the day after) followed by NMC and then FTC.
But I don’t think its within the next 48hrs. As they are still getting PPC to go in first. But at least its in the pipeline.

RE: Feathercoin Linux client?
Yes, there is, just need to compile from the source file. Go to the “doc” folder and read the instructions there (build-unix.txt and readme-qt.rst), once all the dependency files are installed, it’s very straight forward to compile to a feathercoind and a feathercoin-qt file.
Have been using Linux Client wallet all this time.
Hope this helps…
Cheers…

RE: Vulnerability in pool server stratum implementation \[Quickfix for Pools In Here\]
Hi, saw it happened about 10hours ago, it only affected stratum. the getwork pool was still accepting shares (in a pool that has both stratum and getwork.)

So which pool should we be mining on?
Actually, it started happening about 10hours ago. a quick way around it was to change from stratum to getwork pool. Thus just temp change to getwork, its a alternative solution… But I guess most pool should have resolve this problem…

obj folder is a temporary staging area during compile and qt is the interface.
so just by creating an empty obj folder will serve the same purpose. Did try it and it works too.
Thank you… :)
