90%+ fall in market value would feel like a burst bubble wouldn’t it? The market is still liquid i.e. you can still cash in.

RE: UFO 0.11.0 wallet will be released after the hard fork
@xonar Nicely explained. 2018 could be a year of more regulation. ICOs in particular might get regulated, so in theory some coins may also get wiped clean.

RE: What do you do for a living?
Computer geek at heart, currently working in nutrition business exporting to the far east. Early cryptocoin adopter, but sold out before doing my MBA at Imperial College Business School.
I’m currently holding all my coins in Feathers, been doing so since 2013.

RE: UFO 0.11.0 wallet will be released after the hard fork
Hypothetical question: Is UFO coin just a test bed for features in upcoming feathercoin features?
Happy holidays.

RE: FTC Price Prediction END OF 2018
1 USD or <10 cents.
The litebit site seems to be ok, for folks in Europe.

RE: ftc is so crazy today!!!!
I’m looking for a 40% decline before I buy in again. I still have about 50% of what I day trade, which I’m going to keep for the long term. I have been quite busy lately, so haven’t been able to micromanage.

RE: Feathercoin to new exchanges
I just had a look at the Jubi New coin application form. It’s very formal, just like any Chinese application form. Every coin is treated as if it was a formal business case. Things like, user count, active users, QQ forum, Wechat forum.
Also, development plans for the next year.
Not all of that stuff is mandatory, but it probably requires an admin contact and an e-mail address or telephone number.

RE: Who is buying?
@SimonTower Of course it’s good to have more exchanges on board to smooth out the price.
Having a discussion about real vs fake anything is pointless, because it’s not possible to prove the theory. The walls are too thin, hence the price moves around wildly.

RE: Who is buying?
@SimonTower Where do you suppose money is going to come into FTC when the main exchange closes? Another BTC-e like drop perhaps
-
RE: Who is buying?
@Danlau @aciddude Thanks for the comments. It’s quite easy to buy in, but hard to cash out, not that I want to at the moment. I don’t really want to lose another x% by converting the stuff back into Bitcoin and then cashing out. Hence, if there was a regulated company that can just provide a GBP/FTC pair (well, actually any other currency would be good too).

RE: Who is buying?
@SimonTower One factor could be that the coins are not liquid enough yet. Arguably, most of the rise has been driven by Chinese speculators/investors. Fluctuations of +/- 20% happen daily, which is great for day trading. I wouldn’t mind putting a few hundred pounds extra in, just to see what happens after halving. However, it’s a bit painful to convert the coins back into pounds if I ever desire to. It would be nice to have an 19800 equivalent in the UK.

RE: Who is buying?
@aciddude It makes sense, because the funding mechanism works by depositing crypto or CNY. People get a deposit bonus of 0.5%, but every withdrawal takes 0.5% off as well. Having the trades in normal currency could attract a larger customer base, because most people don’t like working with fractional amounts (more than 2 decimal places).

RE: Bittylicious - Out of Feathers?
Yep, makes sense. However, if theoretical increase of coins is around 46k per day, at current prices, it’d be quite easy to buy up all the coins for that day. We’d need some serious investors to drive up the price. Hopefully, once ShapeShift add FTC support there should be a bit more volume.

RE: Bittylicious - Out of Feathers?
It’s still possible to buy bitcoin and then ftc, of course, just a bit of a hassle. I bet the people in the Top 100 addresses are sitting on massive paper losses.

Bittylicious - Out of Feathers?
Just tried to buy some FTC on Bittylicious, but without luck. How do we get back on there? Is it a supply issue / volatility issue?

RE: Back to the feathery world.
Cheers, thank you. Top 280 wallet, might be time to buy some more.

Back to the feathery world.
I managed to recover my feather wallet from my Surface pad a few weeks back. Quite chuffed that the featherprice is going back up. I’ve also restarted mining feathers to support the network and hopefully we can get more merchants on board and make the currency a bit more mainstream.

RE: [ANN] Progressive - Feathercoin Weekly News #27
I’ll buy my next phone using Feathers in september when my contract expires.
