I already own a nice amount of btc and ltc when I found feathercoin amongst the dozens of others. I like that feathercoin is community driven and would like to learn all I can and be part of a team with a goal like feathercoin.

I downloaded the wallet along with the block chain and noticed a button that said start mining. I hit it and its saying im mining. What am I missing? Is this old?

Greenspan amd the “bubble” statement along with his others is a joke! He was a puppet for the federal reserve bank which is not a government bank…its a business owned by stock holders that nobody knows who they are. The fed reserve bank buys US bonds and then issues a check back to the government so the US government can print currency. The Fed reserve banks check has a zero balance to withdrawal from. The us dollar is a ponzi scheme!
Here in the US, coinbase.com is a great place to buy btc.

Just wanted the community to know that it only took less than 5 minutes to have all my ftc’s transferred from btc-e to my wallet! That is the fastest cryptocurrency transfer that I have experienced. BTC took 25 minutes.

I am finding that out now. I have just completed my ftc wallet download and transferred all my ftc’s. I also have been using btc-e with no problems.
I have been buying from btc-e for the last 3 weeks and read a article claiming something shady migjt be foing on…I wish I had the link.

I like the idea of giving away ftc’s especially this Christmas. It’s a perfect way to open the door and introduce people to cryptocurrencies. I have personally been involved with the cryptocurrency economy for 4 weeks and have poured myself into learning and rapping my mind around this. It is not easy to do. It’s like taking a drink from a fire hose. IT definitely takes consistent, small bites of information that build on each other.
For those that are tech savvy and understand script, the other one bitcoin uses, the differences between cenyralized and decentralized currency, online wallets and therr standen a encrypto passcode to have access, ability to go on the exchanges and purchase ftc, btc, ltc etc…, qe,1,2,3 and forever, the debt ceiling and how it will always go up, the federal reserve not being a part of the US Government but actually is a business that has stock holders and nobody knows who runs it etc…the list goes on and on
would be like me taking the great minds on here that fully understand mining, cryptocurrencies, programming and throwing you in my Kitchen on a busy evening expecting great results…its not foing to happen. We, as a team, need to boil cryptocurrencies down to a 1st grade level. Once that someone gets the basics and the lightbulb goes off, its only full force ahead with the masses…and thats what we want and need, a currency the masses can use.

Blockchain is downloaded, stills says out of sync. Does it take some time after the download has been completed to sync my wallet with the block chain in order to get my ftc’s that I sent from btc-e?
As I wrote thus, my synchronizing with network started up again with 12,000 more blocks to synchronize…will the block chain have to be sync’ed all day long because of new transactions? Could it be that my computer is to slow?

Let me ask another question…have you found that feathercoin is more about community than the other cryptocurrencies? Im not trying to put down any cryptocurrency but my first impression seems to be more about community.
