I’m assuming that you meant 1.2MH/s, not 1200MH/s for starters, as 1200MH/s would be 4x the entire d2pool hashrate. I find that d2pool takes a while to update when you initially sign up, and that significant gaps of time in between stat updates (hashrate, balance, etc) are pretty normal. Sometimes you’ll find that it may be under/over-reporting your current rate, but I find that the expected payout is pretty on point (you can figure out your expected daily payout at http://www.feathercoin.com/calc/).

RE: Solo not working
To address the second issue first, you’re not going to see “shares” when solo mining. Shares are distributed as a means of determining how much you contributed to a block, and is only applicable when pool mining. With solo mining, you’ll get an indicator when you’ve solved a block. Your command line is going to look pretty darn boring.
To correct the longpoll issue, insert a pool with longpoll as a backup in your config file, and set the --failover-only arg. That should take care of your problem.

RE: R9 290....woot!
My Sapphire r9 290 came in earlier today and it’s finally up and running at a steady ~875kH/s. Hopefully I can squeeze a little more out of it, but this is a huge upgrade from my HD 6670 running at ~114mH/s. I’m pretty sure the thing is louder than my vacuum cleaner though. If anyone needs any info on this card if you’re not hitting at least 850kH/s, let me know! Also, if you you’re getting higher than that, I’d love to know how.
Sorry, just to be clear, you’re getting 875 Kh/s from a single card?

RE: WTB: FTC
Thanks for the advice Kris, I’ll do just that.
I am interested in trading for USD as well, however. Would anyone be willing to trade?

For US (and possibly elsewhere) Gmail users interested in trading
For those of you who don’t already know, Gmail launched a feature some time ago which allows for people to transfer money to others through email. It uses Google Wallet, and it’s similar to Paypal in that you can use it to pay for items at participating marketplaces and other locations. You tie a bank account or other funding source to it, and you’re allowed to send money through it, no problems. Thought you’d all be interested to know.

RE: WARNING ABOUT SELLING OR BUYING FTC ON PAYPAL AND OTHER SIMILAR SERVICES!!!!
Just a note to everyone, please be careful when conducting trades using Paypal. Whether you’re verified or not, Paypal does NOT protect virtual trades, and has a history of ruling in favor of the seller (i.e. the provider of the good) in most cases. As much as we’d like to place our faith in what has come to be known as a somewhat reliable system, please keep this fact in mind, and be cautious.

RE: WTB: FTC
Hi all,
I’m also interested in purchasing a bit of FTC if anyone is interested in selling. I have BTC that I’d like to trade, I’m looking for something around the 40-170 FTC range. If you have any available, let me know!

Hello from California
Howdy all,
Relatively new miner to the game, I’ve been mining for approximately 3 weeks or so, and I’ve settled on FTC. Looks like there’s a good community here unlike most other altcoins, and that’s something I can get behind. I look forward to talking FTC’s future with you all :)
