Already have the game so can’t see. Is it legit free, or Steams usually few days of free gameplay free, cool either way though.

RE: Market Question - Seller wants to cancel transaction.
That seems to be the general consensus then, I guess I must be coming more from a selling on ebay mentality, where a sale is a sale and there needs to be a very good reason for cancelling a sale.
True, but they’re completely different animals. Since FIAT currency is very stable. -
RE: Dogecoin
The amount of coins mined in a small timeframe is irrelevant. The important thing is the value of each coin, the only exception would be if a coin had a large jump in price over a short period of time, like btc and ltc did. If everyone has millions of doge coins it would be almost impossible for its value to jump to a threshold where btc is. The overall amount of coins would keep the value in check.

RE: Dogecoin
This is more a problem for crypto currency than anything else. It shows how easily replicated a currency is by somebody with half a brain and a little bit of time. Which lowers confidence for any one coin being the “most stable” for any serious amount of time.

RE: What do you do for a living?
I’m a Special Education Aide in a 1to1 Autism Program [so basically, I AM the teacher] during the day and am a Black Belt Karate Instructor at night.
Also working on getting my designer toy business started with my Graphic Designer/Illustrator girlfriend. Got our Website and Facebook up, and a few minor things like stickers… but nothing major yet, need more of an audience first!

RE: If bitcoin is gold, and litecoin/feathercoin is silver...
Did you legitimately ask which of the crypocurrencies is a radioactive isotope used in bombs and reactors?

RE: Have you guys ever considered an ochestrated PUMP of FTC with our FTC FORUM?
Ive still noticed that pumps bring in new attention and new investors which cant really hurt the coin. Usually still leave coin stabilizing at new highs.
You don’t want stupid investors - Investors with a lack of understanding in a product can be detrimental, which is one of the main reasons Warren Buffet [one of the most amazing investing geniuses of our time] doesn’t split Berkshire Class A stock shares, to keep the “average” person with no understanding away. -
RE: FTC / USD
If a major exchange I could trust[ish] added FTC/USD I’d be far more likely to make a direct purchase.

RE: My hypothesis: Cloud Hashing and future dangers
i dont get the whole cloud mining thing, if it’s profitable why do they rent them out? why not keep the profits for themselves? it seems to be unbelievable.
It’s actually pretty simple. If I spend a ton of money on mining crypto I now have to pick which crypto I want to mine. If I choose wrong, I’m bleeding money. Even if I choose the best option, if its prices start to tank, I’m bleeding money. Lets say I start mining BTC at $1,000 = 1 and when I need to cash some out to pay bills it’s at $600 which may not cover my electricity cost, I’ve lost money. [These are all hypothetical numbers, no real math in them at all]. By offering people to rent out your servers you’re likely making much less overall profit if the coin of your choice goes UP or stays the same, but, it’s a guaranteed profit stream in a stable currency. -
RE: Feathercoin, god awful review - thoughts?
Thanks for the input guys, interesting thoughts on quark too. I can’t believe crypto is crashing right now all over that Chinese banking restriction. What did they expect the central bank to do tell all the financial institutions ‘sure throw your money in bitcoin’. Hope this doesn’t ruin the whole pot of altcoins and everything too but I’m inclined to believe in a bounceback.
China is a huge market - people are just starting to realize that now. I’m sure it’ll bounce back but markets are weird like that. Yesterday the stock market tanked based upon great news [There were underlying reasons why good news was bad news, but I wont get into that]. -
BTC/FTC Price Targets \[short term\]
Any thoughts where BTC/FTC are going to bottom out? I’m still too new to the community to make a really educated guess, but, I, like everyone else I’m sure, would love to get a nice buy in as close to that point as possible. Right now it looks like BTC is hovering in the low $700s.

RE: Floating vs. Fixed Exchange Rate
I don’t even know what a “true” currency or “fixed” exchange really is. Every currency operates at a variable exchange rate between each other. The difference is that instead of devaluing the currency within a market [which would be a country], the market just appreciates the price of goods and services [inflation]. . .It’s the same thing just from the opposite spectrum.

RE: Why the hell is everyone panicking?!
Major fluctuations typically happen from “fad” investors who see something going up and drive it higher. As the fad investors who got to the party early start to sell for their quick profit everyone else who invested on a whim panics, leaving the early adopters and a small minority of new longs. . .It happens in every type of market.

RE: So apparently you can buy cars with Bitcoin now....
I remember reading something about 3 weeks ago about a guy who decided to go a whole year paying for things only in bitcoin. He convinced his landlord to accept bitcoin for rent, his job to pay him in bitcoin and he found both a grocery store and gas station roughly an hour away from his house that accepted bitcoin where he made weekly trips. . .Can’t seem to find it now, though.

RE: Why the hell is everyone panicking?!
I’ll be more inclined to buy from people when I can do it via something other than signing away my bank accounts [going to look into that stuff you suggested when I get home later].

RE: Why the hell is everyone panicking?!
This is all good for people Long in crypto.
Buy when people panic, sell when people push at each other to get a piece of the action.

RE: Looking to purchase roughly $100 USD in FTC
I mean this in the very nicest way possible, like I know it’s going to come off as harsh but it’s not my intention but I wasn’t looking for your advice - I know what I’m doing and I only put money in that I’m willing to lose.
