RE: Bitcoin Inside
By the way everything was, obiouvsly, very Bitcoin Centric. So mining hardware was only sha (GOD the 600 Gh/sec card is something about 22000$!!!), and so on…
But the thing impressed me more was the amount of money around BitCoin and cryptopin general. Hundreds of developers, Venture Capitals, Hardware and more.
Think about that just Bitstamp moves 200.000.000 $ every month!!!

RE: FTC needs your mining help now.
Don worry DR.Quinn,
I’ve 18 Mhash/sec pointed only on FTC from the beginning

RE: Bitcoin Inside
MrWyrm,
please give a look at the conference (http://www.mediabistro.com/insidebitcoins/). It’s not some sort of “meetup of crypto nerds who have time to waste”. It’s the biggest BitCoin conference in the world.
There were all the big guys involved in Bitcoin hardware (ButterFly Project, Knc), Exchangers (BTC China, Coinnext), Cloud Miners and so on. I spoke with Bitcoin developers, Bobby Lee (simply the owner of the Biggest Exchanger BTC China), attorneys-at-law, Rapresentative from Global Bitcoin Alliance, Cops, Venture Capitals and so on.
So I thinks that Lunatics were somewhere else. In the Day 2 at the conference “Gold 2.0, The VC take on Bitcoin” there were VCs who can controls many hundreds of millions dollar found.
Even the cost of the conference (more than 1 BTC) was not a fee for freaks & students.

I mine FTC with all rigs of mine…

RE: Feathercoin on the rise :-)
I don’t think to be influent on the global market but I reached 18 Mhash/Sec. If just some other guys is adding mining power FTC can only rise up…

Bitcoin Inside
I was in Bitcoin Inside in Berlin last week.
God what a hype there is around crypto currencies!
Of course everything was around Bitcoin but in many presentations, during coffee breaks and launches many guys talked about alt coins mining, present and future.
Many many guys talked about feathercoin as “one of the strongest contender in the stormy market of alt coins”. I didn’t received even just a single bad comment on feathercoin.
Many guys told me they are mining feather or dodge as alt coins, almost nothing else.
Two days very very interesting

Someone in Berlin?
I’m very very interested in cryptovalues, so I decided to go to Berlin to attend to th Bitcoin Conference there on 12 and 13 of February.
Someone else there? Or I’ll be the only one to spread Feathercoin verbum there? ;)

RE: A good week for feathercoin
You wrong. Your mainboard is an AM2/AM2+ ones.
-
RE: First Scrypt ASIC coming out of Alpha Technology?
I’m a bit biased about.
Everything on this site are a couple of renderings and some silly tech spec. Are you really sure it’s not a scam?

RE: A good week for feathercoin
@DarkAngel: A10 6880K is an APU (in fact you need a mainboard with FM2+ Socket not AM3). It’s a Piledriver chip (you can find a review here http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/a10-6700-a10-6800k-richland-review,3528.html) where you can find a 4 CPU cores and a 8670D GPU. It’s not a skyrocket but you can reach something about 100 Khash/sec in scrypt.
Better than nothing ;-) -
RE: A good week for feathercoin
I found 1500 W power supply which costs less than 1000 ones :-).
By the way I don’t have any electric trouble since I’ll put all my machines inside a datacenter in Swiss. It just has 1 Mw/h power so it’s more than enough :-)

RE: A good week for feathercoin
I want to be quite conservative in the design. I know there are risers and custom cases but I prefer to build just plan PCs.
So this is what I chose:
Case: Aerocool Air Bench Table. It’s a damn good piece of metal, perfect for keeping everything cool)
CPU: AMD A10 6880k (I like this one since it has an AMD 8670D inside and I can use it to mine just not to leave the CPU doing nothing)
Motherboard: FM2A88X Extreme6+
RAM: 16 GB Corsair
HD: 500 GB SATA III
Power Supply: Enermax MaxRevo 1500 W
Graphics Card: Sapphire Toxic R9 290X
I want to put three card for every system. I don’t want to combat with electrical problem, mainboard troubles and so on. I prefer to spend something more to buy a couple of systems more and work with stable systems.
I’ll put Linux on them and I’ll use SSH to adminiter them all. That’s all

RE: A good week for feathercoin
I hope so I’m still waiting my 17 R9 290X… :(
-
RE: A good week for feathercoin
Sure it’s something related to mining since I saw that today the average network capacity passed from 4.59 Gh/sec of the last week to 10.5 Gh/sec :o :o.
Feathercoin passed Worldcoin in profitability today. -

Hi guys,
I’m pretty new here. Unfortunately I’m not a coder but I’ve strong background in enterprise datacenters, Linux servers, security and Incident Handling.
So if I can help in some ways, contact me freely.Best Regards
Andrea
