@Cookieboy after rescan I see no errors… so thank you!.. only question is how it got to that state but I guess it’s hard to answer… I think this topic can be mark as solved and if i see that error again I will report again
done https://github.com/FeatherCoin/Feathercoin/pull/254 and thanks… actually I need it asap so I guess I need to use my fork till then

Hello… having problem to see new transactions/found blocks on Android wallet. Not sure if this is really a problem so maybe someone is able to verify it. My wallet is in sync and I also tried to reset blockchain and sync again but still the same. When I check through http://explorer.feathercoin.com I see different balance for my address. (Maybe it has something to do with new block version 4.0?)
Hello ftc community,
Would it be possible to remove strMiscWarning as here in bitcoin?: https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/issues/6809 I have p2pool which shows it as an error… [I think I don’t have permission to create remote branch for pull request]. In Feathercoin it is in src/util.cpp line 941
based on output it’s fine now… :) so thanks a lot. but not sure what was the problem… ?!

@Wellenreiter I still can not leave this error behind :[ the reason is that when I see this error in logs my node starts to act differently. I use it for mining. Had actually connected Nomp and also p2pool from your repo to it. So I turned off Nomp to be on a safe side since there is no more active development on it… recreated the node from scratch also rescanned couple times but logs are there again and my node acts strange. I also run other nodes from ltc, vtc in same environment (no problem with them). By strange I mean I got big reject ratio. The height of the block chain seems to be in sync when I checked against explorer. Here is output from nsgminer:

@Wellenreiter in ‘Peer Monitor’ section I see ‘li341-100.members.linode.com’ couple times… with /Satoshi:0.8.7/… the blocks there are rising so it seems to be in sync… ping is around 300ms… protocol: 60007
I see this in debug.log:
2017-03-30 18:41:59 ERROR: CheckBlockHeader() : block with timestamp before last checkpoint
2017-03-30 18:59:04 ProcessBlock: Preliminary checks

2017-03-30 18:59:04 ERROR: ProcessBlock() : CheckBlock FAILED
can someone explain what can be wrong?
Hello everyone,
bumping this comment https://github.com/Feathercoin-Foundation/electrum-ftc/issues/108#issuecomment-468751662 so it can gain more attention here for others to try out and confirm. (I might be late to party and everything regardless Trezor/Electrum/Feathercoin is sorted out… since I see the logo on https://feathercoin.com/)
I think we are close to fully use Trezor even without Electrum (Insight explorer through ssl should be enough). Can someone please try out and confirm whether they can send/receive ftc through Trezor device/emulator? We might need to upgrade Electrum-ftc to support newest python-trezor library for flawless user experience.
Thanks!
I’m using PPA from you. On 3rd or 4th re-sync it seems fine actually. Not sure what was/is the root cause here. I would say the synchronization is pretty unstable process on my vps ssd environment. I still see ContextualCheckBlockHeader error from time to time but so far it seems fine. Will report back if I see something suspicious.
even worse… now I see:
ERROR: ReadBlockFromDisk: OpenBlockFile failed for CBlockDiskPos(nFile=-1, nPos=0)
I have plenty of disk space… re-indexing again with use-thinblocks=0 …
running on Linux 3.16.0-4-amd64 Debian 3.16.51-3 (2017-12-13) x86_64 GNU/Linux
After seeing these the daemon crashes without possibility to connect through CLI. I tried to -reindex. I also removed everything from .feathercoin/ except feathercoin.config and wallet.dat and sync again. I also saw warning about -rpcworkqueue so I raised that one by adding rpcworkqueue=128. But unfortunately it still dying on me. The version 16 was fine. I checked the memory consumption and disk space and it seems fine. Still not sure what’s going on so I will monitor further.
Hello,
after upgrade to 17 I see these in my logs:
2018-11-05T11:45:08Z ERROR: ContextualCheckBlockHeader : rejected by synchronized checkpoint
2018-11-05T11:45:08Z ERROR: AcceptBlockHeader: Consensus::ContextualCheckBlockHeader: e16099b791d181a6a74a84028e209c66f061e67c65f6e59d04b9a45faf4bb011, bad-version (code 17)
does anyone know what these mean? Should I be worried?
Thanks
