I think many newbies to the crypto technology have one concern (apart from keeping the wallet secure).

Where can i spend my coins? Many look at the limitations BTC has and will be far more reluctant to invest

in a coin with less users and less places to spend. If Feathercoin could definitely be exchanged on this site

for bitcoin then you could very well attract miners who no longer see BTC mining as profitable but have the

hardware to mine alt coins.

There are so many coins on the market that it is extremely hard for newbies to know where to go outside of

Bitcoin… i myself have taken a long time to join this forum and that was due to my trust in the people involved

perhaps the lower value of Feathercoin could be promoted as a good reason to start buying but the exchange

idea would probably encourage people to ‘dabble’ in alt coins

I’m sorry but I don’t get your point. 7300 FTC TODAY is less than 500 USD and that’s not alot of encouragement for someone doing all the hard work required for this.

if the person wants the value paid in dollars then let him say so… 7300FTC could well be worth many times that dollar value in the future, but it will still be 7300FTC. ( i don’t know anything about algorythms but perhaps the developer should have stated his FTC request at the outset )

Greetings from Thailand, I am a buddhist monk who is very interested in the blockchain protocol rather than any monetary interest. I think the crypto currency is a world changer and would like to assist with the promotion of all forms of crypto currencey. I have no programming skills or similar to contribute but would like to assist others to understand the concepts without having to go into too much depth. I think until we get mums, grandads and young kids using this crypto system then it will always be perceived as high tech or geeks only. I would like to try to help in promoting everyday use ( will try to get my temple to accept crypto donations … my 60 year old abbot is supportive but has no understanding of the workings).
