Keeping the number of active developers low is actually a good approach. To manny people working on the same project usually leads to chaos.

Keeping the front page welcomming, yet modern and informatice are indeed good intentions.

Indeed, they would need to be purchased. In my opinion this can’t be done with bitcoin or litecoin due to speed issues.
That is why FTC is actually a better coin.

If people are liking the idea, I wouldn’t mind creating a website for this.
what about: cryptoparty.com, or featherparty.com ?

PS: maybe we can have some birds at the party :)

I was thinking abou this idea yesteday while writing for Remonius’ his thread.

We need people to use FTC, right? And we need to show people the advantages above bitcoin aka speed.

FTC could easily be used in daily trading. So we could use it at a cafe (Oxford Blue) or a party.

Now this is the idea:

1. Throw one hell of a party!
2. At this party you can only pay with FTC: entrance, drinks, …

What needs to be done:

1. set up a website like FTCparty.com to give information, show location, theme, tickets …
2. Assemble a team of people willing to invest time in this
3. Work out an easy way to manage orders: take orders and payments: on a smartphone through website? Use NFC ? Use real featercoins? What with people without smartphone?

Remember: at this stage it is only an idea.
It still needs a lot of thought. But if there is some enthousiasm please submit your thoughts here!

I agree with you, raising awareness is one thing we need to do.

Another part is being able to do something with your feathers.

I had this idea about organising [b]“feather-parties”[/b]. A party where everything is paid with cryptocoins. [b]No cash allowed[/b]!
Of course feathers are the best for this, since they are bitcoin 3.0, imagine waiting 10 mins for your beer? Ow yheah, your payment is confirmed… yheah right.
But this would require making payments very easy with a smartphone. Maybe with a bill with an NFC tag (which can be reused)? How cool would that be.

In conclusion: awareness + usefulness!

As mentioned in the other thread, NFC could really be the next best thing for this. Even easier than USB

1. People with smartphones can use NFC easily. Also makes it possible to use multiple wallets
2. still, lots of people don’t have smartphones. Then a simple card system with an NFC wallet (can also be multiple wallet types) could prove an easy solution.

Just one question: When working with a card system, can it be developped so that only one of the clients actually needs an internet connection?
