I’d love to see a new logo. Something “currency-y” if you catch my drift. Let me know what you guys think. I’m always open to suggestions. I know the feather is a big thing for this group. And I love it! However, shouldn’t we have some sort of currency badge. Like the two lines on BTC. Or Dash with the clever D. What about this. Italicized “F” with a simple line. It’s minimal. Elegant. Hello all! Feathercoin has been around since 2013… So its 2018… 5 YEARS later. Why is there not a reliable trading platform? BITTREX and Cryptopia is closed and has been closed off to new traders since Trolls know when. Bittylicious I have yet to upload a 2nd ID and they are located in England… and that’s it. After 5 YEARS there are no other options for selling and buying. It’s a little aggravating to not have an open market trading platform for our FTC. Thoughts? Suggestions? Just keep HODL-ing?

I don’t know if this will help your issue or not. I like the paperwallets for cold storage. Its safe off of the “net”. I use https://walletgenerator.net/?currency=Feathercoin It’s reliable and I have most of my FTC on paper. All tests have proven transferable. That may be a temporary fix for you. Best of Luck.

That should be enough info. Previously I was hashing maybe .5 or .6 an hour. Now its 5 FTC an hour… Why the huge increase???

Ok, guys. I have just created an online marketplace using coinpayments.net The site address is www.cottoncrypto.com Now. Coinpayments doesn’t currently accept feathercoin in their coin payment processing. However, in due time I forsee them adding feathercoin back into their coins they support and hence I went ahead and built this site. I’m selling custom tshirts of favorite coins for users of crypto. I will only be accepting crypto as payment. If any have advice, please do not hesitate to let me know what’s on your mind. @jimmy24651 Yes. However. Every fiat in the world has some sort of letter that distinguishes its validity. I see your point. Typical is there for a reason however. Why try to reinvent the wheel. When I found feathercoin, I was like interesting. But I didn’t know it was a “currency” per say via the logo. It speaks, business, or tech business. which is rather accurate. It was missing something. Something “fiat-y”. Thanks for your input! I’m sure there are many many others like you that sees the original the way it is. And I’m sure with much pointless deliberation that this will not be a “thing”. I just would like to see more marketing, more push, and updating something that has been in the crypt (badum chsssssshhhhh) for sometime, hiding in the cobwebs of crypto’s. We’re not trying to reinvent sliced bread or the wheel. yet… give it more flavor to the “crypto world”. if that makes any sense whatsoever. I’ve heard it say, “don’t fix whats not broken.”… i see broken marketing. therefore, we need a little freshening up. Thoughts or suggestions?

@trancendence that is sad… so sad. Kentucky in the US is at 8.9 cents per kW… thats incredible, and provides a great return on investment of mining equipment for FTC. I’m telling FTC will “moon” as they say… just when the major trading platforms will recognize it. I mean, it a gold coin. Trust the old ones. Not the new ones. In fact I believe I’ve read where the original creator is out of his current contract is coming back to feathercoin… i hope thats true. and i’m hoping there is a marketing strategy in place or will be. and i’m all for helping that cause.

Hello all feathercoiners!

I am a graphic designer and a tattoo artist from Kentucky and new 4 day miner of feathercoin.

I am not new to mining. I actually just recently started mining again. And I have chosen feathercoin as my top pick for the long hall.

I see a lot of exchanges with making it difficult to not transact.

I would love to see major exchanges (coinbase, etc) start letting people transact with USD. Is there a reason why it has not got there yet? Its been almost 4 years since the release of feathercoin. Any light shed on this would be wonderful.

This is why I would love to be apart of the community to help raise awareness of feathercoin. It is very stable coin. We need more apps and exchanges to accept them. We need more articles about feathercoin. We need more graphic design promoting the use of feathercoin.

@wrapper in fact, with this very inconvenient strategy it makes feathercoin look less appealing. because of the inability to trade. at this point it makes it a HODL scenario, which is fine. And I’m totally ok with that. what I don’t like is when new people ask me what feathercoin is, they ask me if feathercoin can be transacted into USD. And my answer is always, not yet because I can’t join an exchange that does transact feathercoin. and then, they get turned off of feathercoin because “they” don’t see the “possible profit” in USD. unfortunately anything in the US, if its not tangible no one likes it, and is afraid of it. I wish I could prove otherwise.

@anema yeah, I live in the US and it seems like its not even on the radar. again, the proverbial sleeping dragon.

@wrapper they didn’t stop. they halted new people from joining the exchange.
