I’m currently wondering whether to start a feather coin farm. I see this skyrocketing in the future, and you know the sooner the better. Though I currently don’t have the cash to start a farm by myself so I’m wondering if there is enough community interest to start a feather coin farm. It could start somewhat small about 4-5mhash/s. Though that would grow as funds would be reinvested into the pool creating a higher hash rate. Start up cash I would need would be about 5,000 USD, to get a 4-5 mhash/s farm. Electricity in my area is cheap arounf 7 cents per kwatthour. I think I could start with 500 shares at 250 per share. Any though thoughts?
I assume the 500 shares at 250 per share is a typo unless you are figuring on feathercoin as the investment currency, as if you are figuring the 250 as USD then the 500 shares comes to 125,000 total on the 5,000 initial. Please clarify this as well as the figures for power cost vs net gain and don’t forget about estimated maintenance cost as well. Keep in mind this is not like developing a game on kickstarter and understand that you would have to divide the initial up in to small enough shares and you would have own enough of those shares to have controlling say in your farm otherwise the shareholders own the farm and you would have to buy them out in order to have any say in the operation. You would have to divide it up in to say 5000 shares at say 1.00 USD per and you would have to keep a good 51% in order to have the controlling shares. Then you would have to show receipt of investment against the initial start up cost in order to have any grounds for claim of the 51% controlling ownership. You would also have to figure out a reasonable dividend payment as to not cripple the farm if you do not net enough to make the dividend payment. This is based on my limited knowledge however, so please take it with a grain of salt. Your best bet before proceeding further would be draw up a business plan and have an accountant go over it while also consulting a brokerage firm for their advice. As I said before this is based on my LIMITED knowledge and should be taken with a grain of salt.

RE: BTC-e fake sell wall orders
So who is trying manipulate the FTC price on BTC-e with all the fake sell wall orders? Those are ridiculous, especially when someone takes them down to shoot up the price then slowly sell off to buy at the lower price again!! If they were not there, the price would dramatically rise
No clue on who is manipulating them. I for one am glad as I started with little to nothing and now am sitting on a nicely building pile tho it is still a small pile but it is growing. I don’t complain I just watch and ride it out. In return I make a little bit each time. The trick is use it to your advantage so the one doing the pumping looses to you and you gain out of it. The only time I dread is like currently a stale flatline between .00145 and .00146…no room to work the market. -

I can’t afford to pay for a VPN. What do you mean a non stratum server, because I thought in order to mine feather or litecoin, you had to have stratum enabled?
I am mining Feathercoin on fcpool.com port:443 thru GetWork and running smooth. My cgminer kept giving me issues with the Stratum Protocol a few times but have yet to have trouble with GetWork in over 5 days. -
RE: \[solved\] Can you Run FTC, LTC clients simultaneously \* Yes, no problem
As far as I’m aware you need to switch wallet.dat but you can’t run them simultaneously, I might be wrong though!
I am currently running 5 clients simultaneously and not having a problem with updating. However I may be misunderstanding you. If you are talking about multiple FTC clients then I don’t think it’s possible either. But I am running FTC, LTC, BTB, BTC,BBQ at the same time without a problem. However the only time I have ever run in to a problem is when I have multiple setup as servers at the same time and not general clients. -
Razer Deathstalker
I am looking in to selling my Razer Deathstalker gaming keyboard in the marketplace but I am unsure what a good asking price would be. If you have any suggestions I would appreciate it as I will be using the funds to go towards the purchase of a good Radeon HD series card to replace my gtx 460 so I can mine FTC a lot faster.

RE: Five 6970 on Sabertooth 990FX R2.0 won´t work
I would say its Overdraw, with that setup I wouldn’t think of running less than a 1100wat psu but would seriously look for bigger than that.

Nice, once I replace my graphics card to get a good hash rate I will have to donate if the option is available. ;D
I would love to see a faucet that had a pool that i could join dedicated in to just mining for the
faucet site and donating directly that way.
I am also thinking about starting a FTC service to donate to miners who need hardware upgrades.
You can always mine for any pool and use the faucet address as the payout address. You can even set it up with a “round-robin” system within CGMiner to alternate between your own address and the faucet’s address. For example, mine for yourself 12 hours, then mine for the faucet 12 hours, and keep rotating like that automatically.
Never thought about that, thanks. Once I replace my GTX 460 I will have to get that rolling…lets face it even overclocked with a 114 KHash/s output is not much of anything even with an extra 28 Khash/s from my cpu. -

Thanks for the encouragement and confirmation of payment. Owlie, I believe you got the highest payout as you frequented the faucet quite often (without abuse, thanks ;)). According to the site stats most visitors came from USA, UK, and Finland. There were some visits from Australia and central Europe.7thpitbull, if you would like to donate please sent ftc 6qm83CDJvYgGhoV9jB95PFu5wDnXM5UR4J and not my personal wallet (in signature). Hope everyone is enjoying the faucet.
Will do, looks like at the end of next month I will be able to help you out. (found a card that fits my price range) -

RE: GTX670 Mining on CUDAMiner 200kH/s!!!!
Very nice, my little GTX 460 is cranking out a measly 80 KHash/s but that’s after a lot of tuning.
