the “Not yet redeemed” status means that coins were sent to an address and have not yet been spent or sent anywhere else.

For example, if you look at the Feathercoin donation address:
6p8u3wtct7uxRGmvWr2xvPxqRzbpbcd82A

You can see the last transaction to that address here:
http://explorer.feathercoin.com/tx/05a90f39287c0f0aa04347d5942fcbdcd05a4d8a788fe40ff0ee00738b394bc5#o0

and you can see the coins are “Not yet redeemed” because they are still in the Feathercoin Donation address and have not been moved anywhere else.
