Nikel - Priority ) I need an angle for gaming rigs for news articles
-
Nikel,
Please start brainstorming on an angle we could use for gaming news sites. I asked Kevlar to help highlight the miners for hardware sites, I think a similar angle could be done for gaming sites. Something along the lines of “Making money with your graphics cards when the game completes”.
Thoughts?

I agree that there is an angle here. I think we will have to convince them that the coin they make will pay for itself and is easy to do and they will not think twice about joining the community.
I think a campaign about the highlights of what Feathercoin can do for them can get them on board

Earn money while not gaming

Can exchange the coin for cash

Can exchange coin with other gamers for equipment

Maybe have contest pools for various games or participation that they can win
I think Agozyen has a great idea to get LAN parties on board. If we could sponsor a LAN party or give prizes, I think this could be a big hit.

I used to work for a company that produced PC components and peripherals. One of my job responsibilities was reaching out to LAN party organizers and offering them sponsorships. It’s been a few years but I know LAN parties still happen. I think we can offer sponsorhips to select LAN parties/events in exchange for exposure. A requirement of the sponsorship would be for them to post pics or video in our forums and being listed on their websites.I can reach out to these events and set this up, that won’t be a problem if this is something that happens. We will need to determine the prizes and come up with them and the FTC though.
We could offer X number of FTC as a prize, maybe T-Shirts or something else. They will eat it up. We can also offer a bounty if anyone at the event finds a block. If anyone knows how to set up a pool on the cheap we can even offer them their own pool.
I am actually going to “campzone” (http://campzone.nl) it’s the biggest outdoor 11-day LAN-party in the world.
It’s happening from July 26 till August 5, there are a lot of competitions with loads of prices, i could get in contact with them about sponsoring. But i really need to know what i can offer them.I could also get a 4m x 1m flag or something made @ vistaprint and hang it on our 10m x 5m army tent! ;D

They have the right idea ‘Making money while you are AFK’
