Crashes abound

cgminer 3.7.8, as usual no issues before and then this windows update comes along and crashes my machine. Now firefox keeps dying with a blank rendered page and cgminer is crashing.I keep getting ATI driver restarted errors too. Is this maybe something to do with the windows 8.1 update recently? seems I cant mine and do what I normally did before.

If you didn’t change anything but did the windows update - I assume from win 8 to 8.1 - the cause of your problem is Windows.
I suggest the following:
- Install the ATI driver manually again
- remove and install firefox
- I’m not sure, if the windows version of the miner is an installer package or just the exe, if installer package, remove and reinstall.
If all of the above fails…
give Linux a try ;)

yeah, windows is really pissing me off lately. It was already 8.1. Really leaning torwards Linux. I ‘just’ got opencl working on my laptop.
