Donations???

Hi Everyone,
Me and my wife Abigail from the forums are looking to create a donation for something and would like some feedback from you! We would like to know what you think would be a great way to donate to the community and give knowledge of who we are and what we are here for. Here are some suggestions that I have but would like to hear from you about them and possible more…

We would like to do a donation of a minimum of $250 in FTC and a maximum of $1000 in FTC. This will be going to a place that is picked and agreed upon in the United Kingdom. Lets all work together on this. We look forward to hearing from your responses.

Sounds good I’d be happy to chip in. I like the sound of the owl one as it fits with the feather aspect of the coin. :)

Great idea. I also think the owls are quite fitting. I’m sure any of the feathercoin team will gladly hold the donation funds/address for this project. :)

I totally agree, which one of the Feathercoin team would like to create a donation wallet to hold the funds while being raised once we decide on who we will donate too? That way everyone knows the funds aren’t being spent on anything other than what they are donating towards!

Also, I was thinking of giving it until this coming Friday January 23rd to see where our poll goes then open up for donations in what it so far looks like the Owl Sanctuary.

Alright Friday is coming to a end and it looks like we have decided to go with the Owl Sanctuary. I would like to start a new topic here as soon as we can decide which Feathercoin team member is making a wallet to hold the funds for the donation when it reaches time to donate. Also, it looks like the Owl Sanctuary only takes PayPal or a check for a donation so this would also have to be done though the Feathercoin team. If the team would like to get ahold of me and setup all this I would like to try and get this going asap. I hope everyone has a great weekend.

I will volunteer to hold the wallet address for donations. I’m in the UK anyway so making the payment to the own sanctuary shouldn’t be a problem. That’s if everyone is happy with that.
So what would I do just hold the coins and then send whatever the cash equivalent is to the owl sanctuary when the fundraising is complete?

Kris_davison, Yes that would be correct, and send the payment either by check or PayPal to them on their website.
