Neoscrypt launching 2nd July?
-
Nope. They are not getting NeoScrypt on the 2nd.
and this is from Bitcointalk UFO thread:
Expect a Hard fork at height 160,997 / 2nd July 2014 with the following enhancements:
- Nite’s Gravity Well - This allows for rapid response to hash rate changes and recovery from high difficulty
- Time Warp Manipulability - Will be reduced to the point where its effect is negligible
- Automatic Checkpointing - This vital feature for any coin prevents transaction roll back via 51% attacks.
- New algorithm - Improved version of Scrypt that is 30% more energy efficient and ASIC resistant in the long run.https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=658117
I have now changed that. Someone in UFO said that they has added images to the original thread and got me to repost it. I took their word that they had not changed the text when in fact that had added the bit above. I could believe that they were just reorganising information if they had not added the bit about 30% more energy efficiency which is completely made up.
I am a very unhappy about this right now and feel an idiot for not checking it through. I only scrolled down to see that images were added. Now this false information has come from my mouth!

:-
Land of confusion… I think it’s an innocent misunderstanding… because it’s impossible to lie if the coin sources are public.
-
At least all is crysral clear now and aligned with official Neoscrypt development thread.
-
-
oh dear… im glad this is all cleared up but the 30% issue may come back and bite us.
It sounds great if its accurate but I cant see how anyone could know this apart from Bush and Ghostlander.
-
Hmm this is just weird
I think this needs to be updated aswell??
-
I guess they have to postpone their hard fork. By the way, even me not sure how energy efficient NeoScrypt is. It consumes less memory than Scrypt, but utilises it to a much higher extent and regular tricks like pre-hashing don’t work any more.
-
I guess we are not going to know this until we have done some testing on duplicate hardware.
I guess they could still do the hard fork but without neoscrypt?
-
Please cut off all contact with them.

This situation was already explained by Bush, it was a mistake.
They will have hard fork but without Neoscrypt now.
No need to continue this discussion.
