FTC Gaming Competition Idea
-
I came up with this idea the other day and wanted to see if the community was interested. I am planning on hosting a gaming competition that any member here on the forums can participate in. First of all we need to pick a game that the whole community can play or can get access to in a free way or cheap way. My ideas for this were TF2 (Team Fortress 2) as it is free to play and the whole community can get in on the action. Another two games that came to thought were Dota 2 or Starcraft 2. I have 5 free copies of Dota 2 at the moment even though I never play it, but if that’s what people are into we can make that work. Basically if you have a game idea let me know in the comments below and be sure to join the steam group @ http://steamcommunity.com/groups/FTC_Gaming so that we can make news more readily available, and when we host the competition it will be easier to get us all in a game together. On top of this I will be donating somewhere between 200 and 500 FTC to the winners prize pool, this will go up if I mine a block here in the near future :D. Not quite sure how we will distribute the money weather it will be a winner take all system or a system with a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes. Let me know any thoughts that you have about prizes below or in general about the competition. Thanks guys and hope you decide to join the competition as it is free money and will be lots of fun and who doesn’t like that!

Sounds like a nice idea. Don’t play SC2 mutch now :/ Or never played dota2 but now mainly Crossfire and League of Legends :D

We could defiantly try one of those two games for the competition if more people also want that, but be sure to join the steam group :D

I would love to have competitive FTC Dota 2 matches! Sign me up!

This giving me a “Cross Team” idea:
Why not taking contact with dota 2 developpers and negociate with them to buy stuff in Dota 2 with FTC ?What do you think about it ?
Huh huh…that would be awesome, but tbh extremely hard to make it happen. They want their earnings, and to charge real cash.
You’re right, but If someone can negociate something like the Humble Weekly sales: you can buy it with real money or feathercoin, that would be great.
