Microeconomics at work ..

Just thought I would tell you guys of my household experiment that I have started :)
My children (aged 4 & 6) both now have Feathercoin wallets. My eldest on her own Android tablet and my youngest on my phone, until he gets his own tablet …
They now get pocket ‘money’ in FTC for good behaviour and for doing jobs, and even more interestingly could trade between themselves if they wish lol
At the very least I hope this will be an educational tool for them, but maybe they might even end up with a valuable nest egg for the future if FTC is a long-term success.
Just need to create ‘over-spill’ wallets on the PC for them too with backups to avoid the dangers of leaving too many coins on mobile devices

I may in future give them the opportunity to trade them in for fiat. I will act as the exchange and they can send coins to my wallet and I will give them the current value as on coinmarketcap.
I will encourage them to save but it will be up to them if there is something reasonable they wish to buy.

I love this. I wish my boys were older!

Amazing…

Aww, that’s really cute :) I have 2 kids and they talk about working On Feathercoin all the time, I think you have a great thing going there and may have to start doing that too :)
Great work. -
This is trully inspirational aproach on educating your children how to handle real money!

[/quote]Well I was going to correct you lol.
Hopefully in the years to come they will be able to spend them on more and more real things. Then it really will blur the lines as to what constitutes ‘real’ money …

Haha great idea! My parents did similar with stickers, which equaled certain rewards.
Very cool Dad!
