The Future Of Cryptos
-
Let’s discuss where crypto could be in 10 years.
At first I was concerned about the growth of other cryptos, buy that I mean soon there will be over 300 of them out there and how are we to compete with them all?
Well after a bit of thought, you know what? We and the world can handle a lot more then 300, in fact the more the better for the future growth of cryptos. As a small test, ask 10 strangers if they have heard of Bitcoin or crypto currencies and then you will know that we have a way to go yet, but at least all of us are ahead of the curve. One way it might go is every county in the world, up taking/favouring, let say for example 5 coins. Now there will be some coins that are used worldwide like Bitcoin, let’s give them AAA+ to be used for large purchases, or future coins that concentrate on niche markets, like a charity coin, lets say after a Tsunami, flood or famine where people will be able to give directly to the people in need, or to people on the ground helping. So for argument sake let’s take them of the equation.
Now Litecoin see themselves as the silver coin, but maybe in the future they will be the first coin used in America and European countries favouring others, thus taking them out of the constraints of the euro. Which means as Feathercoin is the only British crypto; we could be number one here. So why would people from around the world want FTC? Well I would want to hold strong coins from other countries for, investment, web-purchases and holidays.
Miners could be the future Bureau-de-exchanges, changing coins to whatever your holiday destination is. I would rather give them the fee or:Maybe I woke up and my coffee was cold.

+1 rep. Great post.
There’s no reason to believe that 1 or 300 currencies is sufficient. In truth we have a constantly growing number in regular circulation. We have Nike Points, and Camel Points, and Frequent Flyer Miles, and Starbuck gift cards. In Asia, cell phone minutes are a currency.
Your argument breaks down here. Crypto-currencies don’t have a nationality. Their developers do, but the developers don’t issue the coins. There’s no reason to assume that locality of the developer will impact a coins adoption locally, unless the developer is advertising it locally, which is unrelated. I wouldn’t exactly say Bushstar is doing a stellar job of promoting the currency, in fact he’s usually pretty quiet and let’s ChrisJ do the public relations bit, and ChrisJ is truly an international man of mystery.
Sure I see your point on the Nationality, but I feel that is one of our strengths, and at the end of the day I am not going to walk around with 300 types of cryptos with me, let alone to be able to use that many at my local shopping centre. So in say 10 years time each country will favour certain coins won’t they? Or the world won’t need that many.
What say you?
Maybe in 10 years time technology will allow me to walk around and use one of my 300 cryptos. Who knows.

I think Bushstar sometimes wishers he was Satoshi Nakamoto, then he could be a man of mystery. Also he should remove his PM from his profile because he never replies to them :(

Anyone have any thoughts on NXT? It’s being billed at crypto-currency 2.0
I wonder what revision we will be at in ten years…

Oh let me be the Moody’s of the alt-coins (I’ll give you a good rating for a little amount of your coins, urgh).
This is inaccurate. I think he receives a lot of PM’s and has to prioritize. Not to rub it in, but I can only think of one time I did not receive a response (and I PM a lot) and to be honest it was a PM that didn’t really require a response.
So I’m going to pretend I have some pull here, hey Bush I’m putting in a good word for Biker. If he feels he needs a response to his PM, please respond because Biker’s been cool enough to help me out with my contest and he hasn’t divulged the answer to any one. ;)
