Pledge to create 200 FTC a month -or- to begin to transact in FTC each month!
-
I think it would be more productive to the community as a whole to pledge to create 200 FTC every month by mining -or- acquiring those created by others, by selling products or services of value on the market as well as in your real world interactions with other human beings.
The idea of “buying” is more akin to investing and would tend to be more in alignment with a mindset to then “sell” them if and when they would “increase”, denominated of course, in terms of the instrument used to acquire them in the first place. Most likely worthless debt based paper.
Adversely, someone who pledges to create them -and/or- transact with/and for them with others who do create them is more in alignment with making the switch from the debt based “money” they want free of, to the value based one they want to transition into!
A hundred committed supporters of the community based currency is worth more then ten thousand investors in the same, to the community in general. I strongly encourage people to completely change their mode of thinking about what money is and what it should be used for. Look at it as a means to exchange your value based production into a form that will both; a) exchange it for the thing(s) you choose to consume, and b)act as a safe store of that which you produce above and beyond what you consume.
To see money as a thing that makes more money is one of the fundamental flaws that led to the hugh mess we are all presently dealing with. Money makes nothing. Creativity produces value, money is the medium value is trade for value or stored for latter consumption. I think what Satoshi, real or fictional, was attempting to do, is offer us a way out of that mess. To merely buy and sell that “means” with the debt based currencies only to sell them back for the same worthless paper will never solve those problems.
We have to begin to think about EVERYTHING from a completely different perspective. This is an incredible opportunity to do just that. Don’t throw it away for another version of that broken story that if you pile up enough debt you will somehow have wealth! Just my thoughts, feel free to reject them.
peace

Definitely. I’ve been selling on the market place and helping other forum members via FTC. This of course will be the key to our success.
