Overstock.com expected to start accepting bitcoins

Overstock.com announces plans to accept bitcoins in mid 2014…
I think this is potentially big news for all alt currencies. As more and more major retailers start accepting bitcoins for transactions- either direct from their own site, or connected to a third party option, and as the public becomes more expecting of these payment options during online cart check out process, it stands to reason that at least some other currencies would follow and become available over time as well. And hopefully FTC is eventually positioned to be one of these currencies.

Mid '14 indeed, so they’re playing very safe. Hope they will keep their promise.

Rep for posting that with super good link. and even if CEO Patrick Byrne doesn’t own any bitcoins he will soon enough. I think this is the beginning of a hugh change. I posted a link to amgi metals who accept bitcoins now for gold and silver at super fair premiums on single coin sales. The post is titled “Who is John Galt?”
Thanks again for the post, awesome find!
