They are indeed fast and efficient :-\ applause! (I think that’s the advantage of being close to the supply/manufacturing chain?)
Unlike AlphaTech that’s still taking its own sweet time until July at least.
I think these stuff are so-called first generation asic miner.
Gridseed is 55nm chip. So it’s going to have a lot faster asic miner for Scrypt sooner or later.
GPU mining is dying.
Yes. Probably 28nm next year, then 15nm by 2015~2016. :P
We already saw companies like ButterflyLabs going from 230GH (rack) to 600GH (PCI express card!) with just 40% the power consumption.https://products.butterflylabs.com/homepage/250-gh-s-rack-mount-bitcoin-miner.html $4,255.00 (230GH)
vs
https://products.butterflylabs.com/homepage-new-products/600-gh-bitcoin-mining-card.html $2,196.00 (600H)I won’t be buying this yet, until the next generation when its a lot faster than GPUs. Right now its already on par despite AMD manufacturing its GPUs in 28nm!
-
I will stick to my GPUs first, since they do have resale value. In my country, I can sell it at 90% the original cost still despite using it for a month already!
There’s 3 years warranty to AMD GPUs, so even if its fried just RMA! LOL ::) -
I want one, and I mean just one, for the sake of testing etc.
I doubt I’ll have the money anytime soon, so I suppose only time will tell. My funds are somewhat tied up at the moment.
When anyone here gets a hold of one. Please oh Please post a video on youtube. I’ll promote your video and channel.

If diginforce won’t ship to the US, is there someone who is willing to act as a bulk intermediary in China?
Naturally working out shipping costs and a little something extra for the broker.
-
Well, if they don’t sip to the us, the question is if they ship to Europe?
Also are the block erupters working standalone with just a monitoring connection to the network?
What HW/SW would I need in addition to the erupter to start mining with them?
Still, if anybody does a bulk order for Europe, and has a spare unit, I would go for one just for testing
-
Has anyone found a US reseller of these yet?
-
I’d be worried about it burning down my office. lol.
Wouldn’t want US Customs to open my shipment looking for an FCC ID as well.
That being said I would still love to get my hands on 10, even if I had to sit watching them with a dry chemical fire extinguisher. =)
-
Wll done guys, this is looking good.
Where are you getting these units from? Asiabtc (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=421921.0), diginforce or directly from gridseed?Tnx
