\[poll\] are your coins safe?

to you keep most of your feathercoins online, or offline storage?
-
I do both on my computer encrypted and offline wallet. Though I have not yet trusted a purely offline wallet that has never touched the blockchain because I am paranoid like that. So I generate a key pair on Linux box add some coins, spend some back (to test it) and then print it out.
Haha I am sure I am weird.
But what if the CPU farts an electron and the public private key pair don’t match? You put your coins on to the public key and you think they are safe but then one day when you import the private key you find out that there’s a problem and they didn’t match after all?
I mean I know the odds must be extremely low but I think about stuff like this
hmm i didnt know their was a chance that could happen
well spread it out on a few paper wallets and you limit this tiny risk.
encrypted with the client is fine too.
But before it’s encrypted the key is stored in plain text no? Meaning there is window of opportunity. Also when it is encrypted I don’t think the original data is wiped with multi pass so it’s still on your machine somewhere.
Diversity is the most important thing, so spreading coins out is good.
