Request - NFC compatible FTC mobile wallet
-
Imo the NFC for feathercoin project together with a mobile wallet deserves much more attention - because of its need in the real world!
Target: A mobile wallet with NFC support for Iphone,Android, Windows
Side target: Development of costume NFC tag stickers everyone can order through a forum own shop/member

Think about the advantages for a second
*NFC is available (no need to programm it)
*Its the quickest way to pay
*Its a cheap/easy solution for merchants to accept payments
*It offers costume tag sticker which can be placed within seconds everywhere in a shop
*Its a future proofen payment solutionImo its sad that the potencial of its important hasnt been recognized yet, or has it but other things are more important?
Whatever, i would put it on the priority list under the top 5.

+1 for this please! That would give us a huge advantage over other coins, and would also essentially allow people a debit card like convenience!

AFAIK the Android wallet supports NFC for person to person transactions.
Looking at the sheer pace/growth of technology from the late 80’s - 00’s has left a lot of stuff not truly realised or should I say not used to it’s full potential, while NFC is a field (excuse the pun) I will be exploring and I agree it has HUGE potential, I still feel we need to also think outside of the box when it comes to rates/amount of adoption, for instance how many phones can send an SMS messages? Compare this to how many phones that have a camera? Now compare how many have NFC capabilities? In another 5-10 years I can see all mobiles with NFC onboard, but for now I feel we need to look at what tools we already have at our disposal and more importantly by how many people. Personally I like QR Codes, as most mobiles (if not all) nowadays have a camera of some sort on board, even with cameras aside and realising the potential of plain old SMS and you have circa 3,000,000,000+ people in your marketplace. 8)

Right my friend but sms is on the edge to be replaced by whatsapp & co.
Further it couldnt be a fault to work on a program which is future compatible - continued improvement is necessary no question, but to offer something other coins dont, gives us a big advantage.Thx for the input … together we can!!
I don’t think SMS will ever be replaced totally, I agree more users are using alternative messaging protocols ie: BBM, FB, Talk etc, etc, but you can’t replace/remove a technology that has been built into mobile phones practically from day one. Think about the lone villages in central Africa, I bet they won’t be using replacements anytime soon, in fact I bet they still have App incapable devices and a Blackberry is rare & exotic fruit :), where as SMS…
…Like I say; I am not dismissing NFC technology, far from it, I am purely thinking outside of the box and upon ‘mass’ adoption, let’s say for arguments sake - A service for Crypto like no other, that uses the globally available SMS protocol, but uses it in such a way that it diverts slightly from it’s originally intended process (of messaging each other)?..I really wish I could reveal more, maybe after this weekends meetup. 8)
What I can say is that NFC is already a planned future add on. ;)

You make me curious …;-)
Every time has its technology and we should use the existing one(s) for our/feathercoins advantage …
