Partnerships benefits for ftc ...
-
sorry think i missed/cant find the discussion/post about the benefits for FTC from this partnership.
I specifically ask about ftc benefits because it seems to me the strongest/most supported coin.
No question the other 2 must have SOMETHING, otherwise they wouldnt have been choosen for the partnership …
Sorry for my question …
thx alot
Time is short tonight, but here’s a quick summary.
-
Most coins have little to no understanding of what it takes to bring a product to market
-
Our partners have professional experience with platforms (see phenixpoker)
-
With other business minded professionals, we’ll be able to create a brand that makes the point of entry difficulty for hobby coins
-
Our partners match our long-term mainstream adoption goals
-
Services that are rolling out from partner coins will simply dominate the market… no other way to put it.
-
Too many coins are focused on the nerd… we’re focused on mom and dad utilizing the coin.
-
While we have strong support, there is much more to the equation if you’re moving past an open source hobby type project. Branding, licensing, resource management, public relations, merchant services are just a start.
We’re incredibly fortunate to have them with us and look forward to a long partnership. While the crypto community will continue to argue about pre-mines and re-targets, we’ll be way on our way to JoeUser adoption.
So… they have a couple sites they are building that helps us out(if they include us) and we give them a bit more influence along with a little hash backup.
Phenix has a poker site with other things to allow us to jump on board.
WDC? business minded professionals?
The one statement I don’t agree with it is that “too many coins are focused on the nerd.” There are three types of coins; The hobbyist coins that people do for proof of an idea, the business coins(btc and ftc) for financial transactions, and the “make me rich coins.” There are a lot of the third out there right now. That group is growing too… unfortunately. Noir, Ez, Mega, alpha, and kitchensink coin. Barbie and ken are coming up next pre-merged mining. :o No really nerd coins. People doing anything with anything usually gets better with education and simplicity. That takes time. FTC starting to do that. BTC is doing that(because people see money in them bits).
We’ll have to agree to disagree on a few items, and that’s perfectly fine. I’m familiar with the list of coins you mentioned, I’ll just have to bite my tongue and give them a “I wish the best of luck”. My mom would have a real difficult time buying a mega coin, an alpha coin… or even an Litecoin right now. That won’t be our issue in the near future.
Considering I’m willing to dump 5 figures of LTC back into both partners (10% a piece) when it hits Gox, I’m obviously fairly confident in my assessment. I could be wrong, however, I like my chances.
