Yes, Feather has a full-time developer and several other prominent developers from the scene.Yes, every scrypt coin is copied from the Litecoin source, much like Litecoin which copied scrypt from Tenebrix and many of it’s other features from coins that preceded it.
Yes, Feathercoin was created to compliment Litecoin and follow along with it’s development; the same as Litecoin was created to work alongside Bitcoin and follows it’s development. This is for security reasons.
Actually, this has everything to do with development as outlined above. Now that the coin has been released and the glitches worked out the Developers are preparing new features for Feathercoin.
Currently a merchant backend is being tested for easy implementation into shopping carts. Custom shopping cart software is being created for all cryptocurrencies as well, by Feathercoin developers.
A fix to prevent 51% attacks and make them a thing of the past for all cryptocurrencies is also in the works. Soon, you will be able to click a Feathercoin donation link on a website and simply type in the amount you would like to donate and it’s done. This is part of the merchant backend Feathercoin is working on.
Feathercoin was not premined, this is n00b FUD. You can verify this in the blockchain yourself. If you want to pull the “zero difficulty” card, try viewing in the clients debugger instead of the website which only shows 4 digits, that will ease your concerns.
The difficulty for all scrypt coins, Litecoin being the first, was set low for CPU’s since GPU’s could not mine Litecoin at the time. All scrypt clones simply copied Litecoin, however by this time GPU’s could mine scrypt coins and the low difficulty resulted in all new scrypt coins being raped by miners at an early age.
Feathercoin fixed this initial mis-calculation in popularity at block 33,000 with a hard fork. This adjustment will also prevent miners from jumping on/off the coin and causing dramatic shifts in hashing power and price. No other scrypt coin has this fix.
Feathercoin now has over 1,000 monkey’s in the community!

[quote]Feathercoin has a strong full-time developer??? Please explain to me what this guy actually developed?! He copied the litecoin code and just changed a single number to increase the number of final coins. This has nothing do to with development. He is just a copycat, who premined and hopes to find monkeys mining this coin until it gets some kind of value. Pretty clear case.
