I am currently styling the auction site. I will have altmine2 from BitcoinTalk go over it later to tidy my slightly rubbish work.

Anyway, whilst I am styling the site could everyone head over there and test the system out.

1. Why 18 to register :( (still registered just added another year to my age, hope it’s alright with you)
2. Put “register” and “clear form” further away from each other if possible, don’t want people getting mad over accidentally resetting their full form.

1. Feedback reset

If I type up feedback about a seller and mistype my password, I lose my entire text. If I spent a few minutes writing something, I’d be fairly upset.

2. Styling

I’m sure this is being done in the background - It certainly needs an artist’s touch. The big yellow bars made a tear fall from my eye. :)

Just some things i saw:

Fields for date or birth are too big (Chrome)
There are no terms of service (beta i know)
Might get some feedback when you add a picture to a auction, like ‘picture added’ or a thumbnail
Get back to auction automatically after you placed a bid.

Other it’s a good beta :D

One thing I have found so far is that when I attempted to use the currency converter, any currency that I selected would return 0.00

Can you tell me where you saw the currency converter and I will look at that page now?

I’ve been doing the dishes, vacuuming, mowing the lawn, looking after my little one and have guests right now but will get back on it within the hour :)

I had an interview with CoinDesk today and they are keen to do an article on the launch of this auction site.

1. Always hit ctrl+a then ctrl+c on a text field before you submit. This can be done after the more glaring issues are resolved.

2. What yellow bars? I’m working through this site one page at a time. Please link me to the more offensive articles. There is still a fair bit to be done obviously.

1. Maybe I didn’t communicate that correctly. I do that personally when typing in forms, JoeSixpackUser will not… that’s why I pointed it out.

4. Forgetting username/pw

If you forget your password, you’re required to enter both the username and the email address. What if someone doesn’t remember their userid? Will we have another recovery method? Manual maybe?

5. Hot Items - Clickable Graphic

On the hot items, I have to click the little link under the picture. I recommend being able to click the pics directly as well. As Ebay guy, that’s my natural reaction.

6. Colors

[b]This is just a personal preference:[/b]

A. On the main page, I’d replace the blue (categories, settings on the right, home/sell item on top) with bold black. The color looks washed-out to me… I feel it needs to pop.

B. Not a fan of the bright yellow with that color scheme. For example, the outbid yellow (to me) looks far too loud. The yellow around password (edit your settings) looks out of place color wise.

C. Buynow 2,000,000.00 FTC 1,000,000.00 FTC -> I’d make the buy now larger – there’s something about that red and blue I’m not a fan of… I can’t place it

No. I have not approached anyone for custom graphics yet.

All the feedback is golden by the way. Please keep it coming. As I work through items I will post back in. I’m still stuck on lots of small items everywhere.
