Smart contract bounty
-
Hi All. I offered 50000FTC as bounty for implementation of smart contracts. It is set aside and remains in wait. I’m an easy person to find, its held in trust by my reputation alone.
Also, just a comment on what happened with the other bounty. Its a real shame and its terrible for Kraken who has been a valuable ally to us all… But please keep all discussion on that matter public so people can see that 1 person acted inappropriately, but that it doesn’t reflect on the whole community.
And if anyone is feeling generous, maybe they could pledge amounts to help bring the total bounty back up to Kraken’s original 100k. The dev team here is great (fast, clever and approachable) and deserves to be rewarded.

Thanks for these kind words and your support! This is really awesome.

Ironically, it’s the smart contract layer that could help handle bounties. Crypto has all the technical
solutions to this issue. We have clearly have a human need for this technology. On the issue of bounties, I believe that bounties are a promise, they shouldn’t be pulled. It’s not fair on any developers working towards it. They should be locked with contact holding them until the rules of the contract are met.
It was trust that broke down which caused the bounty to be retracted, we need to be trust-less.
I’m still hoping that this whole thing will be resolved. Having been a FTC member for many moons, I’d like to believe that @mirrax in an error of judgement, hasn’t returned the BTC out of principle rather than actual theft and that he will see sense and realise that rather than protecting the bounty he’s putting it at risk.
