UKDCA

I agree it will be interesting to hear what the pricing structure is. But as a UK based coin (albeit an international one) it would be good to be involved in where this is going.
-
How to join in?
-
We are waiting for the UKDCA to announce there pricing structure that will allow anyone interested to see if they want to join. Hopefully it wont be too expensive.

That’s pretty reasonable I wouldn’t mind paying the £20.
-
Sorry for my bluntness, but screw individuals, unless you join for a year to vote a rep.
The important part, Corporate
Again, the corporations will get to create the legislation in crypto. It’s important that projects like Feathercoin get involved in things that involve the future Law of what we will or not be allowed to do with **_our _**resource. After all, it’s us, the people who create the resource. Worth considering a group with “moral values” to be represented in among there?
-
I work on the communications work group for the UKDCA.
-
Yeah well that’s not the end of the world. We need businesses that get involved and we need the government to make up their minds on how to tax crypto etc. Its better to have a very public organisation like this than have no representation at all. Plus Chris is already in so all is good.
-
So does corporate mean a company/business or do they allow coins to join under the tier?
If it’s the later we are still only talking £200 / year as we have been operating for less than 2 years. I’m sure the community as a whole can see the benefits of being part of something like this so maybe it should be stuck up for crowd funding.
Maybe if we raise the funds we should have a vote on who represents us?

yes it would be great.

Hi All
“The important part, Corporate” - well, a Corporate still gets a single vote, just like an individual.
Chris can say more, but just like the DCA provides a strong voice because it speaks for many people, a coin will hold more authority if it speaks for many.
The down side is a coin still gets just one vote.
Perhaps best to join as many individuals . . . ?
