Blockchain Explorer ..
Balance: 40 FTC
Transactions in: 9
Received: 358.64 FTC
Transactions out: 8
Sent: 318.64 FTC
Well, It seems to say that you’ve sent 318.64 ftc.
Not sure man. Sorry.
-
But I definitely have not though … Plus I have just synced my wallet and the balance of 312 is there intact. I will check the multiple address thing but I am not aware of have more than one address. I have a seperate wallet on my android phone and I have only ever sent coins from there to my PC really. That’s the 247.9 transaction
-
Having gone over and over this … The transactions in my wallet are 100% correct. All present and accounted for, as is my balance. I have the updated client and I am fully synced. I am also encrypted of course.
The blockchain explorer definitely reads incorrect though … Should I be worried about this ?
-
I sent the coins to my android wallet and strangely the transaction did not appear, although the balance updated to zero. I have just now sent the 312 coins back and the transaction is now on the blockchain and it now shows my correct balance.
At least I have my coins but it does concern me a little how a glitch like this could happen … Maybe one of you techies could investigate. I wouyld be happy to assist you if you need any information

I just had a look balance is 312.06

/edit seems to not be the case.
Only since I sent the balance out to my android wallet … Then sent it back again. The blockchain transactions are still incorrect. The balance however is now righted.
As I said though the glitch is still a concern …

All fine, Kevlar explained that to me earlier. If you spend coins from your wallet, the remainder will go to a change address.
So if you want to have all coins on one address again to create a paper wallet or whatever, just send all these coins to one address and it should show the correct balance in the block explorer.

When you create transactions then the feathercoin-qt generates addresses that are invisible for you. let say you have address AAAA and you have 300 FTC. You send 10 FTC to BBBB and in the wallet you will see that you have 290 FTC but in the background the following has happened:
- you must spent all coins from the AAAA address
- In the output software sets 10 to BBBB and the rest (300-10- transaction fee) it sends to the newly created ( not visible for you via the client ) address.
- You check your address and you see 0 FTC ( yes everything is spent )
- You wallet have 290
This is your transaction where you spent your 40+24.995+0.585+246.9 = 312.48 ( sent 312 to the desired address ( see isn’t from your address you see in address book ) and 0.48 to the newly generated address in your wallet )

I think qt client should be updated to use the same address from the input in the output for the change but this is discussion under dev. tread
Thankyou for the full explanation. I agree that this requires some sort of update to fix. Otherwise the blockchain explorer is sometimes next to useless …
