[Solved] Help needed connecting wallet to internet - Sync - Addnode

Hi I have the feather coin program downloaded onto my pc, its a windows 8 machine with Norton antivirus. I also have the program on a vista laptop, the laptop connects feathercoin to the network with no problems, so this problem is with this specific machine and not my internet connection or router.
The problem is with the windows 8 pc. It looks like I have a setting switched on that is preventing the wallet accessing the internet.
Things I have done so far.
Disabled everything I can in Norton security, this includes things like the firewall. I have also disabled the windows firewall, and also told windows to allow feathercoin to work through the firewall. Still no connection.
Is there a guide to connecting the wallet to the net, I cannot find much info other than the very basics.

problem fixed I had to add nodes for the ip address.

I recommend to portforward, its the best way to get connections.
Just portforward 9336-9337 in your router and the connection problems are gone :)
